  1. I saw that CGC mentioned a Paul Dini signing with a retrospective video on their Facebook page on 10/3 so I think it already happened.
  2. I’d be shocked if it didn’t. By how much is the question for me.
  3. After nearly 2 years, another 9.8 of #1 will come up for public auction near the end of November on Heritage (11/17 or 11/18). In that time there have been five 9.6s that have sold publicly with two at ComicLink auctions, one at ComicConnect, and one at Heritage (other was an eBay Buy It Now). It appears to be the latest 9.8 graded and is the 18th Universal label to hit NM/MT. Auction starts on 10/28 and will be interesting to see where it ends. For the record, this is not my book and I probably won’t be bidding. I’m just a fairly neutral observer
  4. Where are “newsstand” copies on the census? I’ve never seen them separated.
  5. Signature Series Modern 7/26 - Received 8/24 - GEI 8/24 - credit card charged 8/30 - Shipped Haven’t seen the SFG status on my last two submissions and this one didn’t have QC/Grading either (this wasn’t from an in-house signing). Turnaround time is great at the moment.
  6. Purchased a couple of these. Thanks for the opportunity!
  7. Here’s how a recent modern fast track SS of mine went: 7/27 - Received 8/9 - GEI (never went to SFG) 8/9 - Credit card charged 8/10 - Grading/QC 8/12 - Shipped
  8. Whoa, that’s nice! Always like to hear Jeff Smith stories from back in his college days. Let us know if you got anymore…
  9. I would say it’s much more likely that it goes to another producer. The story itself seems very adaptable with a few minor changes. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen anything to suggest prices could get lower as of yet.
  10. Slab arrived quickly with excellent packaging. Thanks Mario!
  11. I deal mostly with 9.4-9.8 modern books and this one has something that I haven't seen. Structurally, this comic would be a 9.6/9.8 with a pressing but I don't know how the colored marks on the front and back covers would be characterized or graded. On Homer's right middle finger on the front cover are two red marks that perfectly parallel one another and are about a 1/2 inch long. On the back cover, the marks are in the same spot but are blue (look at the "Y" in SPOOKY) and less prominent. Is this some type of color rub? I have very little experience with such phenomena and I'm hoping to learn. Thanks!
  12. Two STANDARD books with PRESSING and GRADING (nothing fast tracked): 2/10 - Arrived at CGC HQ 3/16 - Received at CCS 4/11 - Received by CGC 4/11 - Scheduled For Grading 4/25 - GEI 4/26 - Grading/QC 4/27 - Shipped
  13. That is interesting. Looks to be in good condition as well from this singular view. Did you find this on eBay?
  14. Hopefully Jeff himself will reveal something about the development. Otherwise, these sorts of things tend to be closely guarded secrets that never reach the public. Still haven’t heard anything about the previous attempt to make it a movie when Warner Brothers purchased the rights about 15 years ago.
  15. In my mind, it would be a difficult story to do as a movie trilogy and thought the TV series would have a better chance of working. I think they were having -script problems over the last year which isn’t surprising. I’m sure some studio or service will give it a shot but will take a lot longer now. Oh well.
  16. Typically, all of these black back covers from the Bone series have a decent amount of white marks from the production process. Unless it’s excessive or clearly from a crease or dent, they’re usually ignored.
  17. If they are in great shape, I’d be interested (saw this auction and you beat me to it ). Send me a PM.
  18. Based on what I’ve seen recently, I’m stuck between 9.0 and 9.2. Another good copy.
  19. I’ll go 9.2 because of the spine corners, possibly 9.4. Another nice copy!
  20. Agree about the pinkish line above CB. It’s on all my #7s. Looks like a solid 9.6 or better to me. Nice copy!
  21. Thorn: Tales From The Lantern (1983) had an 8.5 sell for over 11k in August 2021. The 9.8 that sold for 13.2k in 2020 had offers up to $45k that were all rejected. According to the census, their are zero 9.8s at the moment so the buyer may have cracked it out of the slab.
