I would avoid that. I saw Torpedo do one of these prior to the pandemic and it seemed more like the home shopping network. It didn't seem very trustworthy, in both directions.

Exactly. Not through a snipe bot. -

The countdown timer is there and you can place a bid while it's winding down to zero. It doesn't add time like in some other auction houses. I have lost many, many times within the last 5-10 seconds of the auction. -

This is what I think happened: Bidder 1 bid a very high amount, let's say $2,000. They thought that this way they secured the book no matter what. He counted on nobody bidding an outlandish amount. Bidder 2 comes in, sees a price that they see as soft and places a snipe bid of $1,100 (maybe thinking it's an FF Annual 2 and not GS FF 2). Bidder 1 has a higher bid entered already, and the automatic increment kicks in and the final hammer price is $1,200. Two haphazard bidders get each other in trouble. I don't think it's because they thought the comic was worth it or on speculation. -

I just looked at the bid history. Looks like they tried to snipe it but the previous bidder put up such a high bid that he ultimately screwed him into a huge bid on a small time book. Wow. I have my doubts that it would have originally been MH2 because of the grade. Most of the MH2 were high grade since it was a warehouse find.

Chalk another one for the quality assurance team. Yeah, I saw that it was no longer a pedigree in the system - I'm sure someone brought it up to their attention at some point. But it is out there in the wild with a Church pedigree label and being sold on ebay at the moment. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174398817701?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5336908832&toolid=10001&customid=21479X795624X3f3ef6a7ada95e5a28ff4a304a85f876 The seller isn't harping on the Church pedigree, but he is posting it as a pedigree book. It's mistakes like this that make the Dylans of the world come out.

8/17 is a Tuesday 8/23 is a Monday When would stores get comics back in the 60s?

Were they on aisle X (10)?

Why don't you open an online account and print it all at home. You can still drop it off at the UPS store or have it picked up at your house. It doesn't cost anything and saves you the hassle of dealing with undesirable situations.

I didn't see him featured in any other cover that his character was in.

Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE on HBO Max (3/18/21)

This is a very good article on this movie as it compares to Whedon's. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/justice-league-snyder-cut-reverses-015727599.html- 2,338 replies

Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE on HBO Max (3/18/21)
JazzMan replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I felt 100% the same. I thought to myself, "I must have really forgotten lots of it." But no, it is a completely different film - much more coherent - this plugs in so many gaps and questions that just were caused by totally superfluous and disconnected scenes. I question why Paramount didn't just make this into 2 movies - similar to Infinity War/End Game. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would recommend watching all 4 hours of it. I am so glad they took out stupid/campy scenes like Flash rescuing the peasants towards the end, and I am so glad they added the epilogue, including Martian Manhunter. Another piece of editing that was done right - breaking it up into PARTS. That alone made the movie feel shorter. I had low expectations for this movie, but I must say, this one was done right.- 2,338 replies

I particularly enjoy the Frank Robbins run that's in that set.
