  1. Hi everyone,

I'm offering up a copy of Tales to Astonish #38 (first Egghead) CGC 6.5 for sale - $210.

The book presents much nicer than its grade due to some tanning.

I prefer to ship via domestic or international USPS Priority Mail (but am also open to USPS Ground Advantage) and charge the exact cost for shipping.

I accept PayPal, Venmo, checks, or money orders.

I don't accept returns for CGC-graded books because you know what you're getting, but if there's an issue I'll always work with you to resolve it.

The first :takeit: gets the book, but I will also entertain offers via PM.

Please No probies and HOSers, and thanks for looking!

Have to agree with you there. DC's covers from that era seemed to have better composition and use of colors, however, there is one later cover that I thought was catchy and clever, this one:

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #61 comic book 1968-DC-FLASH-BATMAN-DC fn - Picture 1 of 2

When I was a kid I thought it was interesting that all the villains were tanned on this cover while the heroes were pale. I know it was done to distinguish the heroes from the villains, but I still found it interesting...

I found the Chinese TV series a bit hard to follow as u had to concentrate. No fast n furious cars or explosive gun play. Netflix version in English hopefully easier to follow plot.

My friend who also watched the Chinese TV series said he had to rewind quite a few times to re-read subtitles when characters were discussing deeper concepts.

Both he and I read the books, and I wonder how the Chinese TV series would be for someone who did not read them.

I've heard good things so far about the Netflix series, and can't wait to check it out!

  4. While I'm looking forward to seeing this, I'm also worried it won't do the books justice.

@AJD, I totally agree with your assessment of the books...I found some of the concepts in them (especially The Dark Forest and Death's End) both ambitious and chilling.

I recently watched the Chinese 30-episode(!) adaptation of The Three-Body Problem on Amazon and felt that it stayed fairly close to the source material (although it did add a few characters). Definitely worth a watch!
