  1. What will you do now that you have completed your 9.8 mission? That's a heavy fate to have accomplished already?!
  2. Thanks a lot for sending me the link. I will definitely keep an eye on this for a rough value but mine is not signature signed. Only signed at the convention back in 1985
  3. I think it is definitely possible but to a very specific buyer. Someone who is a TMNT fantastical, has cash and already has a 9.8 TMNT everything else and wanting to complete their collection. Is a counterfeit issue 1 currently worth more than a genuine first print 2? I think both issue 1 and issue 2 are heading to the stratosphere. I'm not sure issue 3 may get there but the Peter Laird variant might. The mystery for this comic is what makes this comic awesome in both storytelling and true life phenomena
  4. Thanks a lot for the insight and suggestion. I honestly wouldn't know what to sell my copy for? I'm no grader but it surely is in pristine condition, literally bagged on the day at the convention and stored since. I'm certain this condition is rare? I took photos of it quite recently and put it back immediately. Here is my copy to see
  5. You owned four! I assume that these copies are so rare to find that nobody would really have a preference one way or the other? I love that my copy is signed on the inside and am very lucky to own it. Do you reckon anybody would trade a #1 first print for a #3 cover variant in say a 9.8 grade?
  6. Thanks for the insight. I was starting to think that people are generally preferring the verified signature series nowadays, with signatures over the cover. It does seem like it is much harder to find non signed books, raw or slabbed these days. For me personally I don't mind the interior signed books with signatures from back in the day. I have a #1 and #3 Laird photo variant both signed on the inside by K Eastman and P Laird and I kinda like that they are there. It's their signature from 1984/1985, before who they went on to become - for me it doesn't get better than that!
  7. Me too @eastbayrudy The Richard Corben cover was the first cover that got me into collecting all the covers, all the variants and all the reprints etc. Thank goodness for my OCD because it meant I had to collect all issues across the four volumes, bar the first print of #1 (I had the chance to buy a first print for $800 from a family member of one of the guys at Mirage. I turned it down because I was collecting the four cold cast statues at the time - though I do not regret collecting the statues I try not to remember, sigh sigh sigh - yep I paused for a minute!). Collecting the TMNT comics was an epic adventure in collecting that I will never forget and one I really couldn't afford to do now
  8. Awesome high grades @jaybuck43 ! Thanks for sharing it is good to see the graded copies. I'm learning about the grades. I can see a slip of paper on the first print. I've read this is to preserve the comic inside, is that correct? I am assuming mine will have that piece of paper also?
  9. Awesome thanks for sharing. Ours do look similar with the staining on the covers. I'm wondering if the CGC taken picture of my 4.0 is such good quality/high res taken in great lighting conditions that it makes a better impression than it is?
  10. Does anyone know for sure if unsigned copies of a 9.8 or any grade are more desirable than the signed copies? Unsigned seems to be getting harder to find I'm finding
  11. Thanks @ADAMANTIUM I like the 4 grade, that's 1 per turtle!
  12. Thanks @eastbayrudy I think it looks good too. The photo is professionally taken by CGC, which might help to make it look better! Feel free to share yours for comparison
  13. Just had my teenage mutant ninja turtles comic # 2 first print graded, which is my first slab. Just wanted to share how awesome the comic looks now!
  14. Just had my teenage mutant ninja turtles comic # 2 first print graded, which is my first slab. Just wanted to share how awesome the comic looks now!
  15. I hope they manage to locate them. I have just sent my #2 (1984) back for photographing
  16. There is this link: https://recalledcomics.com/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles3NYCC.php When I find it I will post a link to the YouTube video, which discussed this and was very interesting
  17. If anybody has any photos from the event that would be awesome to see for people who couldn't get there, thanks!
  18. This is the first printing of the Tales collected book and I think has an exclusive story not since reprinted? It’s a hard book to find in such nice condition especially at a good price! Congrats!
  19. Please feedback anything you find out, thanks!
