  1. Since I no longer have Bone #1 (thanks docgo!), the only thing I've got to show off in this thread is the sketch a buddy of mine got for me (T-Bone was my nickname back then...which fit, considering the subject of the sketch). He got Jeff's wife's business card too, which is kinda cool. I like it anyhow! I really should probably get this thing framed.
  2. Kudos to ft88 for the 9 Doctor Strange Marvel Premieres at a great price. Another chunk of a run down...thanks!
  3. Kudos to bubbagump for the Defenders MMW (who'da thought they'd ever make one of those?!) and excellent Godzilla and Spidergirl freebies. Thanks again!
  4. Yeah, it is a pence copy and it's not like all those 9.0's floating around, but it sure is nice to have this back in the collection regardless of all those factors. Thanks to comicdey for making it happen!
  5. Super Kudos to comicdey for the ASM #1 and for taking time payments....it sure is nice to have this back in the collection! Terrific packing and his intention to have it delivered by a troop of women in bikinis was appreciated (though, unfortunately that last part fell through). Thanks again, Collin!
  6. You're not offending anyone, it's just the forum rules. No big deal, just put all your for sale books in one thread and close the other ones Divad's not the only 'forum cop', everyone watches out to make sure everyone abides by the guidelines. The few rules we DO have keep the place running a lot smoother than it has any right to IMO.
  7. LOLOL - and here Annihilus thought he was going to miss the big CD5evah comeback sale because he went out to dinner. Not so much
  8. Would love to have a copy of this book someday....what a great cover!
  9. Thanks to catal77 for the snuggly shipped and accurately graded Spidey 194 (first Black Cat). It's been challenging finding this one in grade, but no more!
  10. Thanks to TheVisitor for the Iron Man Omnibus - brand new as described, good price and packaging. Thanks much!
  11. Kudos to cd4ever for another great package of stuff....thanks for holding it while Annihilus moved!
  12. Thumbs up once again to Designer Toast for a batch of low/mid-grade Strange Tales that filled some holes in Annihilus's run. Thanks again for holding these!
  13. Ok, let's try this again in the right thread this time Thanks to pinball for the ASM #5 and deamentia for several great SA (and a couple bronze) Spideys....packaged extremely well. Special thanks to both for holding these books while Annihilus was looking for a place to live in AZ. Big thumbs up to both of you! (thumbs u

Mikeyriffhard for more ST's & Avengers Annual ShieldAgent for a couple Subbys & a TTA In every case, top notch packaging and spot-on grading....excellent transactions all around. Sorry if Annihilus missed anyone....between moving and going to Columbus, OH on a business trip, it's been pretty hectic.
  17. Sweet batch of Strange Tales/FF/TTA from cd4ever.....great books as always, thanks man!
  18. Big ups to abracadabra for some nice SA Marvels and cd4evah for some nice BA stuff. Plus extra kudos to John for probably setting the record for holding a book for someone: like 6 months or something retarded like that. (It's Annihilus that's retarded, not John). The Hulk/Thing battle was well worth the wait! Thanks guys!
  19. No, it's not eluding people (at least not me). As a buyer, GPA is only one of many criteria one can use to determine a price (either the buyer or the seller). It's kind of like someone using the price of a used car listed in the Kelly Blue Book for a car that's been totalled in an accident. Just because you quote the price listed in the KBB, the buyer can tell by looking at the car that the price is not applicable to that certain car. At least, that's how I see it. I know I'm not confused if someone lists GPA for a book that is not slabbed. Maybe some are, I apologize if that's the case.
  20. I'll remember this statement when I'm selling raw books, and quoting CGC prices from Comics Price Guide - http://www.comicspriceguide.com/. Exactly. It's got nothing to do with where the price comes from....it's got to do with the person buying the book and what they're willing to pay for it. It's the seller's responsibility to provide: 1. Accurate description of the book 2. The price he wants to sell it for You can get the price from wherever you want....if someone is willing to pay for it, that's not the sellers fault. Different buyers will use different criteria for what they are willing to pay. Some are comfortable with using GPA for raw, some aren't. It's really got not much at all to do with where the seller is getting his/her selling price from, IMO. If the price is too high, the book won't sell.
  21. Gotta go with you here. Providing the buyer has enough details to make an informed decision and wants the book badly enough, it doesn't really matter where the price comes from does it?
  22. Also thanks to Buffyfan for the awesome Marvel Omnibus dustjacket covers. Great product, will have to get some for the other hardcovers now!
