  1. Re: WW #1 - some interesting figures on GPA, I hadn't noticed - a 5.0 sold in Feb-20-2014 for $8,066, and then one in 5.5 sold in Sep-25-2014 for $24,000. That's quite a leap! The 5.0 had CR/OW pages and the 5.5 OW/W but I don't think the pages could have made that much difference in price. And God knows what private sales there have been. This book's on the rise and gaining momentum.
  2. It`s a start. I am hoping that the movie version will be closer to the Carmine Infantino version. It`s good that the Flash will get some new mainstream appeal. So I will continue to watch and here`s hoping the movie version will be closer to the classic Flash we read in the comics. (thumbs u That would be so sweet, but I wouldn't count on it. Jeff Johns is writing this stuff, right? Or at least contributing. I figure it'll be along his groove more than Broome/Infantino's. Skinny runner Flash is Infantino-esque though, so we have that at least. And they kept his basic lightning/chemicals origin, although the chemicals don't seem to have mattered. I do wish they could have gotten this shot in: That would have kept me geeked for a month! Just wait for the Adam Strange Show. That should be classic SA fare. They did get the frame where the chemicals are levitating out of the beakers from the electrical charge, if I'm recalling the scene correctly.
  3. That looks a bit silly. I would imagine there's a lot of effects that are to be added we aren't seeing in these photos.
  4. I'd like to see the costume evolve - but maybe he needs to bulk up a bit more before he dons a skin-tight red suit
  5. This is from another thread that I thought might interest some here - specifically the link: My wife is actually only 32... but she doesn't know Lynda Carter. DC appeals more to women as DC actually pays attention to its female audience. The JLA has more diversity to different people. Avengers got the complaint that it does not. Have you ever heard of a famous makeup company called MAC for women? They promote their make up products by using Wonder Woman. Look it up! It isn't just old girls. There's a lot of merchandise that's aimed at younger women by using Wonder Woman. I put a quick link here https://www.maccosmetics.com/whats_new/4782/index.tmpl
  6. That's a gorgeous 4.0 I remember seeing it in the PGM threads and I thought it looked like a 5.0 +. Congratulations on snagging such a great showing copy. BTW, could that be a Larson pedigree book
  7. True that (thumbs u I bought a SC #4 at NYCC a few years back (maybe 5), it was hard to find dealers that had raw copies for sale. I had to really hunt around a lot
  8. I had seen the preview online so I wasn't surprised by much. It was better than I had imagined they could do but they still have a ways to go. I like the lightheartedness of it compared to other DC film and tv but it needs to ripen. The costume didn't look as good as it did when I saw it in photos, but they added the insignia and maybe they'll tinker with it a bit and make it look better. I'm still scratching my head over the casting of this. He's so skinny, hopefully Ollie can help him beef up a little. Interesting that might be a reality and not simply a plot line. One scene where he was talking to his dad in prison struck me - Barry looks like Wally West and his father looks like an old Barry Allen. I wonder if they purposely blended the looks of Wally onto the character of Barry to try to appeal to the fans of both Flashes. It's a little kooky but perhaps brilliant at the same time. But what do I know. Thought about Halloween - it's a few weeks away and some people haven't even bought costumes for their kids yet. With the young appeal of the show and accessibility of his powers (kids love to run fast - I did and I was slow as a turtle) maybe there will be a spike in Flash costume sales. PS THE DESTROYED CAGE WITH A GRODD NAMEPLATE WAS AWESOME!
  9. That's very enlightening amazing! I posted copy of your message and the link in the WW thread

Haven't got to her backstory yet. They mess her character up too? What I thought made her interesting was she's not his wife...yet. It could still go either way. And the moment she heard a rumor he was corrupt she was in his face. Every other character is a murderer, corrupt official, assassin, street thief, serial killer, insane person, gang stooge, crime lord, or Alfred. So at least Barbara showed a little mini-heroism in a tale that's ultimately supposed to be about heroics. re: backstory: Maybe I mis-interpreted something but are they saying Barbara and the Police woman had a relationship? So... Barbara was a lesbian? And my favorite character on the show is Selina. She has just the right amount of attitude, and I can't help but like her. My son thought maybe a college-fling.

Maybe a little more than a little - I mean the scene where Cumberpots arrives in Gotham and we see rampant crime happening everywhere, was a little cheesy - but it's entertaining and I'm hanging in there.

I noticed the Shadow resemblance but missed the Cranston reference. Good catch (thumbs u
  13. Good advice. Anyone who expects that they can produce something as tricky as this and have it be perfect from the get-go, is just not being fair to the folks who are trying to bring this stuff to the screen. Even Arrow took a year to really hit it's stride.
  14. you should at least give Arrow a chance. I watched almost the whole first season of Arrow. It sucked. Where's the real Speedy-D, what have you done with him and his (great) avatar.
  15. Down in front there sonny I can't wait
  16. Now that's more like it I heard they added more scenes to the trailer. I didn't realize I'd be going to NYCC 2 days after this premieres Good times for sure
  17. CMON??? A DAY BEFORE THIS PREMIERES, WHERE'S THE JOY?
  18. I think easy removal is dependent on how long the sticker has been attached as well. The Metro sticker was quite old - and shredded as soon as I tried to remove it with or without the olive oil. So perhaps the olive oil is effective with newer stickers, whereas if it's an oldie like mine, you need a solvent like WD-40 or Goo-Gone. I like an earlier suggestion to put the stickers on the mylar the slab is in. But I see the argument that they can be separated too easily, if internal theft control is the objective.
  19. It sounds as though CC uses the right kind of stickers. (thumbs u
  20. Book=good Stickers=bad It's pretty simple, and whats bad about 100% customer satisfaction? I think it'd be nice if something positive came of this thread instead of simply a
