  1. ...like they listened to the outcry about charging submitters extra for graders notes. They listened till we got tired of asking. With 12,009 submissions at one con I guess they don't feel they need to change a thing. Definately a good business to be in.
  2. I totally agree. How difficult is it to have a priority box where subs that have paid triple or more for priority handling are placed into a separate box from everything else. That does not sound difficult to me. I wonder how many other people are in my situation and may have complained about the lack of organization and if anyone at CGC is listening.
  3. Hallelujah, we have ignition - Received Glad it is in the system, bud. Hopefully, this thread will initiate a policy change and express and other ultra-expedited books can be segregated and entered to get in the system post haste.

  5. I think so(pretty clever too.) It's cool that they have changed things up enough so that current fans aren't sure exactly what's coming. Then the real shocker will be when we find out From the far future Seriously?
  6. I think you're right. Maybe the cop is a distant relative who will be a factor later.
  7. Thanks I just hope the book gets in the darned system, gets graded and it's a happy ending. Well to be fair a happy ending is usually about 60 bucks more.
  8. Ok, but I'm not sure you're aware how many years I've been doing this at NYCC, and had no problem ever before. Years. This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipients failed. info@collectors-society.com
  9. I can't come down on the people that answer the phones. They sound so pathetic on the phone I can't bring the usual New York fire-and-brimstone out when I talk to the CSR's at CGC. It's pretty sad this situation. Never ever have I waited so long for a submission to show up. It just makes me wonder if something more is going on over there in Sarasota.
  10. You hit the nail on the head - enjoy and don't try explain everything. Like reading a comic! Welcome aboard (thumbs u
  11. Yes, they said it would take 5 days after it's entered into their system. He estimated it would be in by middle of the week following the con. He didn't however mention it would take them 2 weeks to unpack it. So we wait . . .
  12. .... Not sure your count is right. Con ended on the 12th. At best it's been 8 days. However you can't count weekends (it's business days) so that knocks it down to 6. And really I wouldn't count the 13th because CGC had to ship the books from NYC to Florida so I would at best start counting on Tuesday the 14th, meaning today is day 6, at best. I meant since I handed the book to CGC
  13. Bought a lot of books from Paul at a great price, they were well packed & shipped quickly. Thanks for a smooth transaction and a deal (thumbs u Bob
  14. . . . to continue on the topic of the increasing interest in WW, this eBay auction of a very well-loved WW #1 closed at $5600 GPA has books in 4.5 at that price level. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1942-Sensation-Comics-1-Wonder-Woman-The-First-One-/221572488019?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=tdU6rXuvUo%252BFpOMhDlSFHAPBCdY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc There was a #7 in the sale as well - that one may have been a bargain: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221572477969?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  15. Thanks I just hope the book gets in the darned system, gets graded and it's a happy ending.
  16. I feel no disrespect from you Bob, as long as we're discussing things with civility here. I read the "Services and Fees" page on the web site and yes the Express tier has a $3000 value limit with the turnaround 5 business days. If the book was worth more I would have had to pay for the Walk-through. I talked to the CSR at the table about the fact I needed the book back fast, but didn't think it necessary to pay for a Walk through, as the book value was probably within the $3000 limit and the 5-day turnaround was good enough, and he agreed. He said they usually get into the system early the week after the con. I said I was fine with 5 business days (after it's in their system). And that was it. No warning about a huge lag period from the time I handed it over to the CSR. I even joked and said "see you in about 2 weeks" when he took the book. So maybe I'm being unreasonable, and if that's the case I apologize, but I never expected my submission to be in limbo so long. Even if I had paid for a Walk-through, how would things be any different for me? I feel sorry for anyone who paid for that, and is in the same boat as me.
