  1. Hi Dan I was just looking at these 2 books that sold on Comiclink, as my sweet-spot for bigger DC keys has always been 6.0 - and I was wondering what it would take to get one again in this grade - and the prices do seem to be getting heftier. Take a look at this 6.0 below that sold for over $7k - I sold a copy with a date stamp for $5k about a year ago - this book sold for $7k with a paper chip! 6.0's Comiclink http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dbrave%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26%5Fwhere%5Fforsale%3Dy%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D%2D727%26y%3D%2D730%26where%5Fforsale%3Dy&id=981284 http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dbrave%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26%5Fwhere%5Fforsale%3Dy%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D%2D727%26y%3D%2D730%26where%5Fforsale%3Dy&id=981284
  2. WOWSER - that's quite a haul you are Sam-the-man . . . (thumbs u
  3. If you missed it Hep, there was a huge auction of their collection a few months back, but there's still a bunch left that Heritage seems to be releasing in Sunday auctions and I think some upcoming event auctions as well. Some books don't have a pedigree indicated on the slabs, I gather because they were added after the fact, no OO copies. Those are sweet Spectre Showcases! I remember when they were on the newsstands, those weird Anderson covers totally freaked me out That Red Devil is the bomb!
  4. Wait till you get to last nights show - I think it was one of the best yet. That Slade fellow is just dripping with dangerousness! The actor playing him is excellent.
  5. (thumbs u I wonder who would lose in a race to ship books (or checks) - c-link or Heritage?
  6. Got my Showcase #34 7.5 OW/W last night - sweet copy, with lots of potential for a grade bump. But that'll likely be up to the next person to own it, hopefully a long ways in the future. So where's these books we've been hearing so much about Sam I am - has that Camel reached home port yet
  7. There is an old retail saying that "The customer is always right". I'm not sure if WB/DC is just trying to be 'hip' or keep us guessing...but for once in the entire scope of speculation and hype....you'd think they'd go with a fan favorite like Cranston. I'm still looking forward to whatever they produce, but I have to say I've been consistently astonished by their choices for the various roles. I agree that Marvel seems to be better at choosing the right cast members to play their characters (excluding the movies not produced by them directly, produced by Sony). We can only hope we're pleasantly surprised when the movie comes out.
  8. Light the torches, beat them drums - tonight's the night
  9. I let my greedy side show Not nice for those still looking to get one
  10. As much as I would love that, I was feeling like a $12-13K finish would happen. I guess it's easy to get overly optimistic when you have a copy
  11. Let me guess, under shipping options, you picked tortoise Camel express, over 3 deserts was the box I checked. The truth is, waiting for a book to arrive has always been half the fun of collecting to me. I guess that's why I always was comfortable with mail order comic dealers back in the day, as opposed to only relying on LCS and conventions, where the books are usually pricier too.
  12. It was a great cover. In fact many of the early Atom covers are pretty amazing. Gil Kane had a real knack for drawing ominous-appearing, everyday objects used in unorthodox ways to imperil our tiny-titan.
  13. Let me guess, under shipping options, you picked tortoise
  14. No, been a couple of shots. Slow it is! Kind of a fun reference. Amazo for the semi-senile
  15. It's a comic-book reality and with CGI technology they CAN nail the look spot-on without a problem. Whether fan dedication to detail can win over hollywoodising it remains to be seen.
  16. Or Spider-Man. I'm not a fan of the thick textured look. DC ain't completely innocent of this as well, re: Superman's latest threads.
  17. her name is sin Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. About 3/4 through watching the show, I was thinking there wasn't the crackle of some of the season's earlier shows, this show was a little more laid back, but I also though, I bet they are going to blow our minds with something at the end, and they delivered, IMHO. Nice. They set up the rest of the season, reshuffled the deck so to speak, and let us know that we ought to hang on it's going to be a crazy ride from here. My take on it
  18. Her head looks photoshopped onto the body to me doomsday could snap her like a twig . . . and suck out all the marrow
