My pleasure but the real credit goes to the folks who started this. I don't currently need anything (parts) but I can appreciate how hard it is to find them and having a thread like this especially on this board, seems like a no-brainer. I have had the pages of a WW #12 married and once had a FF #1 for decades and never found a reasonably priced coverless copy (of course I cringe when I remember the coverless copy I was too cheap to pay $100 for a couple of decades back) If I had known of a thread like this I maybe could have found a coverless FF #1

I bought mine to own it, not to sell it. I guess everyone has their price,but unless it's stupid money I won't be selling any books from my collection. I'm happy for all of you, really. The caveat becomes when you buy an upgrade and try to sell your under copy. I took a bath on the 5.0 copy I sold after I got a 6.0. The moral is to always try to buy the best grade you can in the beginning.

Close. I have a CGC 5.0 #14 that was in an old-style slab that might have pressed up to a 6.0. Time will tell. But I'm real close. Then what do I do - go for 7.0's!

Ouch, I practically grew up on FF. It's such an ICONIC cover....how can you not want a copy for that reason alone? I agree with you there. FF #3 is a close second, save the two left hands on the torch.

The GPA Collector newsletter had an article entitled something to the effect 25 comic books you must read before you die, 15 of which were published or distributed by DC, while only 3 were Marvels. Don't know if that proves anything but I do believe looking at the titles that DC has taken more risks and has been willing to publish edgier stuff. I mean love them or hate them the new 52 had some crazy stuff and brought some new readers to comics. What's marvel done lately besides make billions on movie revenues and make Stan Lee wealthier?
