Well, I have to say , it's been about 3 years of GA collecting and many $$$$ spent.....I've obtained almost everything I dreamed of owning , particularly in the Batman and Superman areas; but this one seemed impossible. But thanks to Stephen F. at Metro, this one is actually mine !!! (well, after I finish paying for it in full.......here's wishing the Cdn. dollar stops it's free-fall!). :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

This scanner is brand new !!!! (arghhh!)...those CGC containers just don't scan well.....I will have to stick to using the old digital camera on the CGC'd books! On my scanner I have to push the book all the way forward and press the slab above the scan button. This way does get 85% of the slab, maybe more. It takes practice is all. Well, I'll just have to make the extra effort and go the photography route....here they are looking just a wee bit prettier..............................

I sold my 7.5 copy a few months ago for 2K, and thought that was a pretty good price. Fair enough.............

Amazing collection! How did you acquire the books? One by one over a long time, or all at once in a sale? I am new at this, and I have been buying comics one at a time over ebay or other similar sites. Pretty much one-by-one, over the last 2 years or so.....from a variety of sources -- eBAy, auctions, Metro, local store....just keep looking EVERY day and you shall find (eventually)......oh yeah, you might consider robbing a bank too!! FISH

Yeah, thanks! I found this greeting card display downstairs in my pharmacy and happened to have some of my more valuable books being temporarily stored there (selling my house, so didn't want anything "disappearing" during open house showings) , and I thought it would make a cool shot!! I guess I was dreaming of what it would have been like during the Golden Age to actually have my own drug store displaying these for a fraction ( )of what they're worth now! I am really fond of Supes #2 and #3 , Tec #29 and #31, my Action #7, and of course the AS#1 and USA#7....ah, hell, I love them all!!!
