I see what your saying, and I definitely agree on Supes 14 and 24, but if Action #36 (robot cover) can get the "classic" designation, I don't see why a few well known war covers can't. I don't think it "denotes a familiarity" as much as some other covers, maybe people just really like robots. right. Its the robot that earned the classic designation. Robot are a collecting genre of their own, and that Superman cover was a pretty early robot appearance in americana. I think thats why it was earmarked as "special" many years ago. Classic or not, will someone put up the damn "classic" #36 for sale already.....come on, I need it!!

How about three butting heads??? My Supes-only covers from 7 to 50 is almost complete.....I guess going 50 to 100 would be logical next step, and I already have a dozen of those in place already.......

Guy Holcombe! Fishler and I split this collection back around 1987 or so...Some beautiful books! One of the best things about these Boards is the incredible amount of history that we all can share about our books!!!!! Imagine, you recognizing a book that you had dealings with over 20 years ago.......amazing insight and info....Thank you. FISH Fish, Do you love red on yellow colors on your golden age? For some reason it is my favorite combo. Batman #1, #5, All-Star #3 etc. It just looks the best to me Love it for sure!! Wish my colours on my Bats 1 were brighter and cleaner, but love it anyway!! Also Supes 1,2,3,6,11 must catch your eye as well!!! Beauties all.

Do you ever stop and think that a 1 to 100 run completed in real time would have cost you $10.00.........mind boggling!! Congratulations! Does your run have a requirement of only unrestored books, or only books with both covers attached or is anything OK??

Well, I have to say , it's been about 3 years of GA collecting and many $$$$ spent.....I've obtained almost everything I dreamed of owning , particularly in the Batman and Superman areas; but this one seemed impossible. But thanks to Stephen F. at Metro, this one is actually mine !!! (well, after I finish paying for it in full.......here's wishing the Cdn. dollar stops it's free-fall!). :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

This scanner is brand new !!!! (arghhh!)...those CGC containers just don't scan well.....I will have to stick to using the old digital camera on the CGC'd books! On my scanner I have to push the book all the way forward and press the slab above the scan button. This way does get 85% of the slab, maybe more. It takes practice is all. Well, I'll just have to make the extra effort and go the photography route....here they are looking just a wee bit prettier..............................
