  1. Love having you here, Gino. You're definitely one of the good guys. My goal is to get 10,000 at some point to step into the hallowed Season Veteran ground. You would have thought after my nearly 10 years, I could have hit it. Hope the family is well and keep posting.
  2. Oh I agree, Buzz, and like I said there was no implication intended. It has happened to me as well and yes I notified the seller immediately and returned the incorrect item. It is good to see honest folks around and mistakes do happen.
  3. Who knows but at least you were refunded and left whole. I do wonder sometimes what a customer would do if they were sent a higher priced item by mistake and how readily they would contact the seller to let them know, not implying anything or trying to twist the thread. I just worry more about being scammed and losing my payment or having payment data compromised in some way. Neither are hassles I relish. Being told an item is not available, while it may be disappointing, is not something I fret over as long as my payment is refunded.
  4. Youse guys must be seeing a mirage. I don't see any water on that cover.
  5. Or GA Killer Croc with a snazzy wardrobe of purple pants and yellow sweater...
  6. He did run Fantazia Comics back in the day, correct? The only scam I ever fell into was ordering from him via a TBG ad - mail order for those younguns' Got 3 GA books, all with undisclosed restoration. I managed to get him on the phone and he was a big horse's behind. Never would give me a refund. I have been so amazed he has been able to thrive for so long running the same game.
  7. Bonnett's Store Stamp to Bonnett's Store Stamp
  8. Very nice book, Jack and that is one big lion so lion to lion cover
  9. Hey BP, it has been on Ebay at the same price for a bit - not that I can make a play for it but I have been tracking it - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonder-Comics-2-CGC-2-0-Fox-1939-/142301469195?hash=item2121d41a0b:g:xU0AAOSw4A5YuzdU Isn't he a board member?
  10. That's some fancy ciphering, Professor Evans. Personally I have to take my shoes off and count my toes for anything greater than a 10-spot and since I don't have any book worth over a Jackson, I'm good.
  11. I don't have time to look back in this thread but I thought miraclemet or someone found some records of possibly who she was.
  12. That kid grew up to be either a serial killer or Leatherface (from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
  13. Rotting flesh in spacesuit to another poor space traveler
  14. I just had thought after seeing this cover many times - is that Rondo Hatton?
  15. These have great to see, Rick. Change the monkey to a donkey on this cover and this would make a great political cartoon.
  16. Death awaits from behind woman to more death awaiting behind woman
  17. I did not know that. Such a great artist. A few months ago I looked back through The Art of Al Williamson book as I went through some of my boxes of artist books.
  18. I know it may be blasphemy but I am not an overly exuberant Wood fan but this is one of my favorite covers of his. Great looking copy, Ed.
  19. I always look under the title of the thread to see the initiator of the sales since it is listed there. I pay attention to that and the title and really don't look at the last person to post other than to see how long since the last post was done.
