  1. Hey Jay. I am surprised this hasn't been seen before or maybe now that grader's notes are more accessible, we see it now. As far behind as CGC is and as many books as they handle with I am assuming some modest turnover in graders - handling with care during grading may take a backseat to quantity. Are books still seen by three separate graders? And I assume the unpacking process means more hands touch books? Not being accusatory but realistically, I can certainly see this happening and if there was damage after delivery to CGC, finger bends seems he most likely to happen.
  2. I have posted before but I still have mine - it was off the stands - well loved and well read now.
  3. Hey David - I'll Take It. About time I bought from you. Shoot me your PP addy.
  4. Thanks for getting that one - I recognized the character but couldn't think of the name.
  5. overweight vest wearing character to the same
  6. That's a pedigree load of uploads and your optimism that a book will be published in our lifetime is to be applauded.
  7. Since this has taken a little of a Steranko turn -- Is the story true about Steranko slapping Bob Kane? I think the story was for not crediting Bill Finger as co-Batman creator.
  8. I think that seller copied from the listing that DTA has. Just used the sell one like this and didn't bother to change much in the title although did remove the grade. DTA's is listed as VF/NM https://www.ebay.com/itm/233054040884?hash=item36431a7334:g:pZEAAOSwc4xgTGxm
  9. Thanks for posting this Scott, I hadn't looked that far ahead. Should be interesting.
  10. I have sent in Big Apples that I bought from Ritter and also a pedigree which I cannot from Metro (it was one that did not have markings - maybe it was another Big Apple). I subbed them and included the invoice showing the ped listing and CGC accepted them as peds - not sure if it was because of the invoice alone or a combination of the book and invoice.
  11. I can say I have never seen this book. And now that I have, I wish I hadn't Loincloth and shoes don't mix. Ok, Ok, yes it now on my wantlist.
  12. Nothing special at all except with me. I started out only collecting Schomburg covers and this was the first non-Schomburg in my runs that I bought and just liked it. Incredibly dumb to have so many copies, I know.
  13. Hi Nick Yeah - I like the storylines but it has been hard for me to accept MacFarlane in the serious commander role. He is trying hard and maybe I have just stereotyped too much in my own mind. Still on my watchlist and it is mixing in some nice humor too.
  14. I have almost of them posted on myslabbedcomics.com - still missing posting a few of my duplicates. Go here and see will all of my collections down the right hand side - I have those titles listed as separate collections. https://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=388 And to show my insanity for Wonder Comics #9 (I picked up one more since this pic)
  15. I love all of these books. I actually have complete runs of ABC, BT, Exciting, FY, Startling, Thrilling, and Wonder. All CGCed with lots of dupes. It took me nearly 20 years to complete it. I started on it since I loved Timelys and Schomburg but couldn't afford those. Now I couldn't afford either
  16. I am not sure about collected editions. Since they are in the public domain, you can access them online but I understand wanting a book. Here is a link to the America's Best series https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?cid=101
  17. Next time, post something worthwhile to look at That is great. Congrats.
