The ubiquitous "finger bends" making one of its numerous recent appearances:sick:  On one of Joe's books?  hm  Just spitballin' here, but I'd say there's a 99.999% chance these occurred after the book had been delivered to CGC.  doh!

    Hey Jay.

I am surprised this hasn't been seen before or maybe now that grader's notes are more accessible, we see it now.  As far behind as CGC is and as many books as they handle with I am assuming some modest turnover in graders - handling with care during grading may take a backseat to quantity.  Are books still seen by three separate graders?  And I assume the unpacking process means more hands touch books?

Not being accusatory but realistically, I can certainly see this happening and if there was damage after delivery to CGC, finger bends seems he most likely to happen.

Not sure if I should say this helps a lot, as I still don't recognize the majority of these characters, but I was definitely having a hard time matching up a lot of these silhouettes with the faces! But it did help me spot #34 Motormouse and (I think) #55 Autocat! I also see the Chattanooga Cats but don't remember any of their names... :tonofbricks:

Thanks for getting that one - I recognized the character but couldn't think of the name.

I think if the book had come out 10 years ago it would have a lot of misinformation in it, so maybe it's better that we can expect it in 2029 instead...hm

I also think it would be nice if the top 5 Contributors to Matt's Pedigree website would get FREE copies of the book...

That's a pedigree load of uploads and your optimism that a book will be published in our lifetime is to be applauded.

I think that seller copied from the listing that DTA has.  Just used the sell one like this and didn't bother to change much in the title although did remove the grade.

    DTA's is listed as VF/NM

Was this focused Fiction House auction noted yet?  Should be fun (incidentally I see a few old friends in here....), seems like they’re also doing a featured Baker only auction too, wonder what others there are coming up.

Thanks for posting this Scott, I hadn't looked that far ahead.  Should be interesting.

  8. I have sent in Big Apples that I bought from Ritter and also a pedigree which I cannot from Metro (it was one that did not have markings - maybe it was another Big Apple).  I subbed them and included the invoice showing the ped listing and CGC accepted them as peds - not sure if it was because of the invoice alone or a combination of the book and invoice.

Wow, great collection! Now I gotta go figure out what the deal is with Wonder Comics #9!!

Nothing special at all except with me.  I started out only collecting Schomburg covers and this was the first non-Schomburg in my runs that I bought and just liked it.  Incredibly dumb to have so many copies, I know.

Wow. I had no idea The Orville: New Horizons is the Star Trek: The Next Generation I was looking for. This season has gone beyond jokes.

Episode 4 is hardcore action. I never expected that.

    Hi Nick :hi:

Yeah - I like the storylines but it has been hard for me to accept MacFarlane in the serious commander role. He is trying hard and maybe I have just stereotyped too much in my own mind.  Still on my watchlist and it is mixing in some nice humor too.

Nice, thanks. Yeah, I am a big fan of reading hardcopies. I'm thinking it's because it is in the public domain maybe, so no one has an exclusive license for the material.

I love all of these books.  I actually have complete runs of ABC, BT, Exciting, FY, Startling, Thrilling, and Wonder.  All CGCed with lots of dupes.  It took me nearly 20 years to complete it.  I started on it since I loved Timelys and Schomburg but couldn't afford those.  Now I couldn't afford either lol
