There are a number of things that seem wrong about that auction, but I don't know that trimming is one. The book has more of the top edge cut off but there is more art at the bottom than what I had often seen (usually Magneto's pinki is cut off), and the wrapping at the spine suggests a miscut on the right edge. In any event, the scan is too poor to be able to ascertain trimming.

Check out his feeback where he received a negative for not shipping a

big Ghost Rider lot that only sold for 3.25 and the the feedback right

before that one is a positive for the exact same lot.

 

This guy seems very shady and I wouldn't bid on that book especially with

the mysterious Bidder six wanting his own book back or maybe just shill

bidding.

It's clearly a trim job to me. Then again, anyone that would seriously consider buying this book on Ebay that is aware of restoration deserves what they get.

Compare it to this book. X-Men #1 with " full pinky" and substantially more top material

it has been in my collection, bagged and boarded and stored in MYLAR D archival protection. same stuff the library of congress youses to protect there documents.

 

I think Joe Pesci might be the seller.
