Gemma, do you think there is anyway that you can split up the Batman set just a little?

What I mean is, break it into smaller, more age-centric chunks ala Detective Comics.

Maybe into runs of 100 or so

Thanks,

Arex

Yeah, same for Captain America. Really just looking for a Silver Age set. (thumbs u

OK, There back from CGC. Now 31 of 32 issues have been graded (and I have 30 of them.) Request again, with clarifications:

Notes:

1952 Fun with Kites is a PG&E publication, not a Western Kite Fun Book

1957 Ruff and Ready (Exist?) in price guide does NOT exist

----This was speculation to fill in the missing copyright based on a poster offered for sale without a photo. Missing copyright year now explained by publication dates corrsponding to school years outlines above.

1963 Rocky and Bullwinkle and Top Cat are mixed together under 1963 in census. I have one of each.

1965 Pixie and Dixie MOST LIKELY does not exist. Not seen by any collector I know of, nor was it in the Random House Archives, Western Archives or Bob Overstreets collection of Kite Fun Books sold recently. Error in price guide?

1977 Ben Franklin MOST LIKELY does not exist. Error in price guide?

1984 Smokey the Bear and Road Runner are mixed together under 1984 in the census. I have one of each in CGC cases.

1990,1997,1998 in price guide are KITE SAFETY BOOKS by SCE instead of KITE FUN BOOKS by Western. There are another 9 or so issues. I will request a seperate registry for them once I get the rest graded.

Thank You,

David

This was my original post on 8/22:

Requesting:

Top Comics (K.K. Publications)

Wyatt Earp - at least the Dell photo cover series

I see that Top Comics in on the list to be added but I don't see Wyatt Earp. The one I'm looking for is Wyatt Earp, Hugh O'Brian Famous Marshall from Dell.

Just wanted to re-mention this before you got to the bottom of the list.

Thanks

Very cool set. I too would like to see the Kite Fun Books in the registry.

Btw., I have seen credible evidence that the Florida version of "Donald Duck Tells about Kites" does exist, although I doubt it ever was published.

I would like to see:

Leading Comics #1-14 (Seven Soldiers of Victory issues)

An "Anti-Communist Comics" set that could include:

- Double Talk

- How Stalin Wants Us to Destroy America

- If the Devil Would Talk (1950)

- If the Devil Would Talk (1958)

- Is This Tomorrow?

- Plot to Steal the World

- Red Iceberg

- Treasure Chest - the volume 17 issues with "This Godless Communism"

- Two Faces of Communism

and probably some others I'm forgetting at the moment.

Dearest Gemma,

You have done some interesting things but I would like to hopefully change your mind about what you have done to the poor old Howard The Duck Set. When you added Volume One (1976) I was ecstatic. I then asked you if Howard The Duck Pre-Volume One should have its own set or be put in the 1976 set. It was reasonable either way. But when you added Howard's guest appearances (She-Hulk, Bizarre Adventures) into this set I was flabbergasted. Howard's guest appearances are numerous and should be separated.

Some of the other guest appearances are:

Generation X - 20-23, 25

Daydreamers 1-3

Ghost Rider 81, 82

Man-Thing (1997) 5,6,7

Marvel Team Up 96

Marvel Tales 237

Spider-Man Team-Up 5

J2 11

Civil War: Choosing Sides 1A, 1B

Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness 2, 3

(not sure which ones are cameos and which ones are full stories)

Also, There is Howard the Duck Volume 2

and Howard the Duck Volume 3

Thanks for listening as I am Trapped in a Set I Never Made!

Hi Gemma.

Could you please add these two sets to the Registry?

WAGON TRAIN (Gold Key) 4 book series 1964

SERGEANT BILKO (DC) 17 Book Series 1957.

Many Thanks in advance :foryou:

Kind Regards

Goon.

In addition to the two above sets, could you also add FRIENDLY GHOST CASPER from 1958 by HARVEY. the first 50 issues would be great.

Many Thanks in advance :foryou:

Wow! I just checked the Howard the Duck set after reading this and am left shaking my head in disappointment.

I'd like to request a simple straight forward Howard the Duck set which would include Howard the Duck #1-33 and Annual #1. No guest appearances, pre-appearances, and no seperate slots for price-variants.

I've made this same request in regards to the price variants being added seperately before and gave examples per PM how they were handled in previous sets.

I'm a big fan of the registry and appreciate the hard work that goes into it, but there is simply no consistancy to how these sets are formed.

I'd like to see straight sets first, then special request sets created seperately for those who ask, if this is the road the registry has decided to take.
