Timmay Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 Pre-emptive post to let everyone know that John (cd4ever) has probably had a tough week, hasn't had a sales thread in a couple of weeks and is probably going to get smashed tonite and post some sweet books at a steal of a deal. Holy krapp Roy!!! That is amazing! Got back from NY this morning, having a few drinks tonight and was just plowing thru some stuff to potentially sell tonight. Although I have no scans yet and the wife just said something about 'me' time, whatever that is........ I told her the 'me' time will be tomorrow night at the Foo Fighters concert. Fazybones Posted July 21, 2008 Share Posted July 21, 2008 To any of you war collectors out there it looks like I am going to have sell off many of my DC war books tomorrow starting around 14:30 PST. All books are raw and 90 % were bought from long standing board members and I think you are safe from any restoration. We just returned from a hearing at Canadian Worker's Compensation and my better half lost a ruling from those priks because he can now move three fingers on one hand and two fingers on his other from a very serious accident nearly two years ago. The Union just doesn't have enough light duty jobs and trying to support us both on my salary isn't working. Other recent problems have made comic collecting a luxury I can no longer afford for the time being. Our lawyer was positive we would be leaving there with a check for all the jobs he's lost, for permanent damage and immediately put back on disability pay. What else can go wrong, I just tried to sell of some HG BA horror books to try to save some of my DC war books and both my computers are screwed and I can't get images from Photo-bucket into CGC's sytem to start a sales thread. The DC war sales thread is cancelled. I deleted any info about the Caps and thanks for a few of your PMs showing interest. I don't want to break any rules and I might sell them properly after I fix one computer or both after payday. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. I don't think anyone would have a problem with you listing issue #s for the lot and a general range of grades, say F-VF. That wouldn't be fair or much fun for a buyer to not have pics and I woudn't expect anyone to buy any of my books because they feel sorry for me. I appreciate the thoughts.
