My score = 2 !

New question: Whose (fictional) autobiography begins with the following line, and what is its title?:

"The lady who works in the grocery store at the corner of my block is called Denise, and she's one of America's great unpublished novelists."

WooHoo! This brings my score to 8 points

Here's the next question, in 2 parts:

You are all likely familiar with Herbie, that annoying little robot designed by Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. But, who knows:

1. The iconic comic creator that first designed a "Herbie" prototype robot for the FF?

2. The name of this prototype robot, which later became known as Herbie?

Don't understand question #1. Are you asking who created the first robot in the FF comic or designed FOR the FF to use?

Jim

Hi Jim,

Good question --- I see how the wording was unclear now. (I have just edited it). Both #1 and #2 are asking about "Herbie".

Jack Kirby

Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-Type, Integrated Electronics

Jim

Jack Kirby is the right answer to #1, but the name of the prototype was something else, other than H.E.R.B.I.E. . . .

ZZ-123

2) nick fury, or dunn dunn dugan? (shrug)

^^

Dum Dum Dugan is the most accurate answer --- he is the agent that first puts hands on the sniper to arrest him. I would also have accepted Nick Fury (also in the room, and in command), or just SHIELD in general.

Great job! :applause: Out of curiosity: did you pull a copy and flip thru the story for the answer, or do you have one of those memories that can dredge up this stuff?

I had to research this one, although aweforone found the cover faster. (worship) So I'll give him my 1/2 pt. Not sure if he's still here, but I'll put this one up to stew on.

Title and issue?

Also known as nn, #59, or 0 there is no date stamp on this one. Although, there are variants.
