I know you are looking for comic covers but couldn't resist posting this because it is part sea-serpent and part dinosaur.

It's called a Plesiosaur ... :gossip:

 

I'm still sticking with part sea-serpent and part dinosaur. Wikipedia said nothing about plesiosaurs attacking submarines and trying to eat soldiers.

 

Apparently, they mostly ate fish. (shrug) Who knew?
