Looks like everyone has a VG-ish copy of this book.  Would love to see a better than Fine copy.

Me, too.  I hope that at least one higher grade copy has survived.

Again, depends on where you draw the line on high grade.

Fabulous run of Pictorial Romances - I would argue that 6.0+ is high grade with Baker Romance barring a few minor exceptions.  As a % of remaining copies, anything in the top 10% should be high grade with 6.0 being a good floor.  Of course, I am sure many will argue that high grade is an objective and not subjective standard.

I am new to the Baker romance world, but from what I have seen so far even 6.0 is almost unheard of for many of these raw or slabbed.

I don't have the history with this genre but it seems to be the toughest post 1945 high grade group of books out there. Again, high grade being 6.0 or better even in the case of many of the giants and TAR among others.

If I am wrong just give me a friendly scolding and I will walk away duly put in my place. :sorry:

I was going to say the same.  6.0 and higher.  Especially how tough CGC is with their grades sometimes.

I've had 4 different copies of this issue and this is the nicest one I have found.

I glad to even find a 5.0 of this one.

Underrated issue. 7.0 is definitely a HG of these  oversized PR issues.

Not  exactly a PR (PR continues the numbering from this series), but this issue is the other one that's relatively common in high grade for some reason.

Not a great cover but still tough in grade.

One of my pride and joys! The blacked out background just sets this issue apart from the pack.

Don't underrate the PR 12. The twist of the pelvis on the girl as rendered by Baker is sublime but very understated. Terrific grade.

The PR 8 is a favourite of mine. I was the underbidder on the Ha.com auction for that, then I saw it in Ritter's bin. He'd priced it high, so I grumbled and passed. Regretted it ever since.
