Here's a well presentable 4.0 with great eye appeal, which will surely go pass $8K.

The 4.5 has a nice front but the back is so...so...for me. Prices are going all over the map for AF15. Of course, all would agree eye appeal and no chipping will be a boost.

I don't know, but for the 4.0 back scan I got...it looks really nice. :luhv:

Too bad it did and it wont appear. They ought to get with the program.

 

 

its a strong price, a new benchmark. looks like it'll move the needle for nice presentiing 4.0?

Sure, but I'd rather have that than the other way around. Moving to a 3.0 White would be nice, but a 4.0 with any PQ excepting maybe tan will get you way more money. Even with tan pages the 4.0 would likely do better than the vast majority of books in 3.0.

Maybe, but one would expect a strong 3.0 to maybe turn into a 3.5. Not a full jump up to 4.0. Frankly based on the front cover I find this to be a pretty weak 4.0, though I do agree that it is a nice-looking 3.0.

Just bought this today. Pretty simple actually - a guy called me and said he had 2 comics and this was one of them. He had sold his entire collection 10 years back and kept this and one other. He just got them back from being graded and wasn't getting very good offers from dealers. Great guy, would have loved to see the whole shebang.

 

Anyway, I'll likely have to sell it sometime soon, but until then, I'll enjoy my membership.
