SET EXPANSION REQUESTS (existing sets only)

Foreign comics have no place listed inside domestic comic registries. :sumo:

Very annoying.

While I still love and appreciate foreign comics, they should be grouped in separate, special sets.

I don't even collect Spider-man, but the Argentinian Edition? Give me a break.

There are already too many superfluous additions being made to existing sets. I think people are starting to use set additions as a backhanded tactic to play the points game. If some obscure slot can be added, JUST because I'm the only one with a graded copy and I want to gain points and I want to :censored: the competition...

I just don't think that's right, especially when it makes the set look random and ugly.

+1

There are various foreign editions of Chew which should never make the Chew set.

+1 more -- there are hundreds and hundreds of foreign language versions of Superman dating back almost 75 years. Please let's keep that Pandora's box closed. However, I think a "Foreign Versions" set of whatever titles people wanted to build would be fine.

I should have been clearer -- several different languages, but hundreds of foreign language issues out there to clutter up existing sets. Just the famous Superman 233 alone

(source, which includes pictures: http://collectingsuperman.com/?p=1906):

Title & Issue Number (if applicable) Country or Language

Superman #233 United States

Superman #233 Millenium Edition United States

Superman #5 Geant France

Superman La Courbe du Temps France

Superman Nembokid #3 Cenisio Italy

Superman #137 Heritage Belgium and Canada (French)

Superman #858 Novaro Mexico

Superman En Los Setentas Mexico

Superman Batman #8 Germany

Superman Museum Version 1 Germany

Superman Museum Version 2 Germany

Stålmannen #4 Semic Sweden

Supermann #4 Semic Norway

Teräsmies #4 Finland

Superman Bi #72 EBAL Brazil

Superman Classics #97 Dutch

Superman #2 1978 Series Japan

Supermann Special Edition Japan

Superman Supacomic #150 Australia

I completely respect those who collect these versions, but they are very much a separate thing from the original sets, and not mere variants.

Just my take . . .

i agree with you. You make a good point the registry should be separate in foreign and original (domestic)

Now that Locke and Key has come to its end can we get the completed list of books in listed.

Thanks,

Matjo

Be more specific on which books and titles you would like listed.

Thanks,

Nicole

Ok. I promise not to bother you again after this one. At least for today. :)

Never mind on the Critical Mass #5. It is on there as Shadowline Saga #5.

And also add Shadowman #1 (2012) Sienkiewicz Variant Cover

You are awesome!! Thank You!

Hello Nicole. I have a few Bill Sienkiewicz covers to add. Shadow #1 and #6 DC 1987 I believe he did more but will check.

Wolverine #145 Nabisco Variant

Hit-Girl #5 Sienk variant my cert # is 0213030009

Daredevil End of Days variant #8

Batman Cacophony #2 cert # 0213030008 It says Kubert cover but it is most definitely a Sienk cover

That is it for now

Can I get the points on the 3 books in the set. I believe they are the only books CGC so they show a ZERO.......

I am a pain tonight....look forward to seeing you at ECCC

Hello,

I noticed that Showcase # 59 in CGC 9.4 has two different scores. Under the registry "Showcase" that the score is 975 while under "Teen Titans" the score is 540.

Can this be corrected?

oceanbert

This needs to be posted at the Scored to be fixed thread.

Thanks,

Nicole

Hi again, Nicole! Actually, go ahead and add all six issues of Shadow (1987). He did do them all.

Also add Teen Titans Spotlight #10.

And The Question #1-19 and #21-23 and Annual 1

I apologize as well for being a pain. :)

I just wish I would have had the "Complete" list when making this set. It is a lot easier to add a complete set then to take the time and score out/add each individual comic....at this quantity... just an FYI.

Sorry Nicole. I actually had the Question issues on the list. Don't know why they were left off.

He did so many covers. A lot of the add ons are recent releases.

He also did these four:

Hypernaturals #1 1:100 Virgin Variant cover

Hypernaturals #2 1:30 Virgin Variant cover

Hypernaturals #3 1:30 Virgin Variant cover

Hypernaturals #4 1:30 Virgin Variant cover

I hate making you have to work harder than you already are. I can't speak for everyone, but you definitely have my complete appreciation for everything you do for us!

Thank you so much!!

Ladies:

Regarding the Superman One-Shots:

Please add JSA Kingdom Come Special: Superman 1

Please delete Superman: Peace on Earth 1 -- turns out to be a Treasury-sized comic and therefore unslabbable (is that a word?).

Thank You both!

This appears to have been skipped, as set adjustment requests made previous to this one have already been done. Thanks.
