ERB Collection----Tarzan anyone?

Fantastic Adventures, July 1941. Goddess of Fire. 2nd part of Escape on Venus.

 

Here's a interesting story on this cover. The original by St. John included a nude woman. The editor suggested to St. John that he revise the cover by painting a robe on the woman, but he refused. So the editors asked H.W. McCauley to repaint the girl. It just so happened McCauley had been a student of St. John's.

How about the Holy Grail of Hard covers?!?!?! Yes, this is a first edition. This has a little history behind it, this was Bruce Hamilton's copy. The dustjacket is a repro.
