They probably need to stop trying with the movies and just do a gritty TV show (not that garbage they had in the 90s).  While it can be a little problematic that his supporting cast is a little thin in the stories (red sonja, bellit, etc. only pop up a few times...later in the 200s he had a bigger cast of cronies i think)...between conan 1 - 50, maybe 1 - 100, and savage sword, there are already a ton of great stories that can be turned into scripts and maybe among the dark horse stuff too.  true, there usually isn't a long-term "plot"..just a new adventure every week or two, so maybe it doesn't work so well in today's TV where they try to hook you for a season worth of stories rather than a new plot every week.

they can use those stories and just write and underlying quest that is the ultimate point of the travels leading them to each adventure. Some sort of revenge angle perhaps.

Picked up a few books at my LCS this week. None of them are exactly high-grade, but still nice copies that present well in mylar. New Gods #2, #3, and #7 -- nice to have some Kirby Fourth World stuff added to my collection! Swamp Thing #7 -- great cover..first Swamp Thing and Batman interaction. Got them all at a great price.

Edit: Just picked up a very nice copy Superman 233, New Gods #1 in VF condition, and Worlds Finest #199 (low grade) (3rd race between Superman and the Flash):

The Kirby New Gods run was fantastic.  I've got readers of 1-11.  I started collecting slabbed copies as well, but gave up when all the insanity started with issue #7.  No way in hell this book is more valuable than issue #1 and I'm not paying those prices.  Steppenwolf?  Really?
