Thanks to nocutename, I picked up a bunch of super-nice Archies, Harvey's and Dennis the Menace's. Sadly, Al Stoltz beat me to the boxes, but there were so many nice copies of so many issues, there were still some fantastic finds.

The interesting thing was, most of these were returns. Bone white, shiney staples, etc. What made them noteworthy, was that there were so many books that I just never see in any condition. After going through hundreds of long boxes of low-grade drek, at dozens of shows and hundreds of stores, I'm convinced that Archie print runs were inconsistent, and that those issues that were to appear in multi-packs were printed in multiples of other issues. Many of the ones here I just never come across, so I was pretty thrilled.

First, some beautiful Archie Giant Series--again, ones not seen too often.

All of these averaged well under a buck a book. And while I don't think ANY BA books are rare, w/ the exception of maybe 100 or 200 hundred issues, I really think you could look for some of these in grade for years and fail miserably. Kind of fun.

This batch included an some nice Pep's, also.

And, the joke only inflation could kill. They must have used this gag repeatedly over 40 years.

Some sweet Laughs, straight from the heights (or depths) of the disco era. Another title I haven't found readily in HG, with the exception of 337 and 342, which show up everywhere. Not sure why I bought more copies of these two.

Seriously, a VCR in 1977? I didn't think these were available regardless of how much money you had.
