szelim's NYCC '09 photo report

35 posts in this topic

Got back in town today after a weekend at NYCC. It was my first really big con (never been to SDCC or a WW), and it was quite an eyeful. Tons of stuff to see that will never be done at a small show like Pittsburgh. Plus tons of giveaways and free sketches to boot. It was such a blast to be there!

These are some pics I took during my two days there.

A pic of DC's booth on Friday. It was insanely more crowded on Saturday.

Lots of people on costumes both days but especially so on Saturday, the day of the costume contest. I never found out who one, but I really like the Predator.

More naughty nurses!

Thx for the pics. Are the Action #1 and ASM #1 9.4 being previewed for the next Comicconnect auction?

Yes, they were at ComicConnect's booth, under lock and key.

Back home with the stack of freebies I picked up at the show. Like I have time to read all this.

I won the Hercules and Caliber HCs in a raffle along with a signed framed Arthur Suydam poster, although I had to ditch the poster because it was way too cumbersome to carry to the dinner and back onto the subway.

Saw these both at the show + was in awe to say the least!!!!! :o(worship):cloud9::takeit:

the census doesn't even show any 6.0 Action Comics #1. hm

Must be a newly graded copy + we'll see it in the next census update. Finding ANY unrestored copy is a big deal, so this amounts to a huge discovery.
