Woody Woodpecker, Andy Panda, Oswald Rabbit, the lineup of Walter Lantz characters was great!

Looney Tunes stories had crossovers between strips like this Mary Jane and Bugs Bunny story.

That looks like fun. I know the characters actually crossed over quite a bit in the early issues, that diminished a lot but never quite went away as the series went on.

Marvel really did publish some excellent titles in the forties.

Another series I enjoyed and bought quite a few of was FUNNY STUFF.

And so did DC!

Funny Stuff 7 was one of the first Golden Age DCs I ever purchased back in 1977. There was a dealer in Temple City, CA called BEA who used to put out a monthly catalog. I picked up all kinds of fun books for peanuts.

Funny Stuff featured the Three Mousketeers by Sheldon Mayer which was a great series.

Beautiful! :applause: Al's brother Vince drew for Timely funny animals in a similar style.
