Locke & Key appreciation thread 2 2

Got my L&K Welcome To Lovecraft and Crown of Shadows HC's in the mail today. Head games is back ordered and will be here in a few weeks but it will be fun to get that too. It just dawned on me how much I really like this series...I own a lot of trades but this is the first time I've ever sprung for the hardcovers. They just feel right

It's the Subterranean Press Hardcover. This is like the Honda Civic LX version of the ultra limited Subterranean Press hardcovers for Locke & Key. I love the Welcome To Lovecraft one, I picked up from the estimable jonjesper. In my opinion, these are the Locke & Key hardcovers to get.

 

The adjective to describe Jon will be estimable today too.

It's an official book. Due to several restraining orders, they still do not acknowledge my "fan made" Locke & Key books.

Well, if you see one on the cheap. It's highly recommended, because the -script part is a fun read too, because of Joe's little details.

Yeah Subterranean Press does beautiful (from the site, I haven't ponied up for one yet) presentations of books (comic and regular) from quite a few authors which I like, and plenty who I've never heard of.

Maybe both. Prices on these have definitely been going up.

That's very recent, previously they were hovering around $40. Maybe people are more interested now that there are more being made. (Anyone have an extra Ghost?)

Everytime, I think they will float back to $40, they go back up to $90+. It's really has been interesting with them lately.

I had seen plenty asking that much, but this is the first I've seen one bid that high. But with other keys being released, it makes sense. That way I can get them all, and put them on a giant key ring. (Like on last night's Office, but way more demented.)

I just ordered a second one, because my sack was ripped open on the first one delivered. I figured I would use the second one as a key in a custom frame of my second registry set award and swap the pouch.

Does anyone know information on the differences between the variations?

Lettered: 26 signed lettered copies, with an original sketch by Gabe

Trade: 1000 deluxe cloth bound copies

 

Limited: $250 + $15 s&h

Lettered: $500 + $15 s&h
