Props to e-Bayer samco1

As a restaurant manager and having reviewed numerous posts (including some by myself), I know that people share experiences frequently when things go wrong and not frequently when things go right. So I'm hoping for good karma with my restaurant by informing everyone of a great e-Bayer. I'm not sure if he posts here or not. But anyways I picked up two ASM coppers in an auction from samco1, and the items were just as described plus he included a 7.5 maybe 8.0 copy of ASM 239 for free. Great freebie in my book! I highly recommend this e-Bayer.

Nice to meet you samco1.

hm

First thing that popped into my mind.

Btw, Mr. Diggler :hi:, for some reason my girlfriend always sees your 'sexy girl' photo that's attached to your posts and assumes I'm looking at porn. Couple that with the actual porn she catches me looking at and it's not good for the BJ buiness.

:sorry:lol

yeah, this is my first experience with an eBay flop.

I got one of his NM books where the overspray/ink

damage was so bad in it made the story incomplete

an basically unreadable.

It's kind of funny but I had a barber that my old man took me to

as a kid that reminds me of his services. This barber (a.k.a. "the Butcher")

would give you the worst haircut you ever had in your life and try to make up

for it to the child victim by putting a piece of double bubble gum behind your ear.

Anyway - Sorry, but I as well as others got burned by the dude...

BUT, if you reaaaallly want something to crow about but books here on

the CGC boards.

There are some really top notch sellers and once you buy your first books

here you forget all about, what is it called...

oh yeah eBay.

i'd like to say that I do not in any way, shape or form believe the original poster to be just some guy who is hoping for good karma here

From my experience with the guy, I'm surprised at all the negative encounters board members have had. Then again, I did buy copper off of him and he advertises as a mainly silver seller. I'd definitely be reluctant to buy anything silver after hearing about restoration and overgrading. It's definitely easier to find high quality copper than silver.

I paid a higher price than I expected for the two ASMs

I've always suspected he has bid shilling going on... I have watched a LOT of his auctions and have NEVER seen one fall through the cracks (sell for a small amount of money) Statistically speaking, this is impossible.

I wouldn't touch it whether or not I was holding a ten-foot pole. What does the pole have to do with it?

I also wouldn't touch it with THE ten-foot pole.....

;)

I'm glad that you are happy with your purchase. (thumbs u

However, before anyone reading this goes off and starts bidding up a storm, I think it would be delinquent of me not to 'balance the books', so to speak.

I bought from Samco1 on three seperate occasions in the past, during my early days on eBay. All books were overgraded, a few ludicrously so, and a couple of them had undisclosed restoration. :(

My personal recommendation would be to avoid like the plague, but as they say, your mileage may vary.

My sentiments exactly. I tried them once and that's all it took.

They are definitely one of the absolute worst sellers on Ebay.

I bought off of him one time, and he sent me a free copy of Punisher kills the marvel universe, I think it was, I was happy with the purchase and with the gift. I got no beef with the dude but, that many boardies can't be wrong meh

Suffice to say, I think we've crushed any Karma. So let me pile on and say that I too (when I was young and foolish) have been burned by Samco. After I complained about my highly overgraded purchase, the best he could do was to offer free shipping on my NEXT purchase! Needless to say, I never collected on that offer... meh
