I bid on it, the 8, and the 9 with what I thought were reasonable bids but didn't even come close to sinking any of those battleships.:cry:

like the vast majority of us, i want to grab the highest graded book i can find/afford when something is on the ol' want-list.  but i am NOT a high-grade snob, as my collection spans the waterfront insofar as the number in the top-left corner goes.  for kicks, i toured the scan-gallery to see just how many increment-points my timely runs hit.   from the lowest graded to the highest, i hit LOTS of them.  here we go, in ascending order.  i'll choose a fave from among mulitple books with the same grade.
