I always liked many of the Torch covers over many of the Marvel Mystery covers.. they were less redundant.

Love the variety in those Torch covers.

 

Given the monthly schedule for MM and HT's popularity as a lead feature it's pretty amazing that the covers weren't more redundant.

 

Schomburg was a pretty amazing artist for that era or any era...

I don't collect post war, so I don't know why I got MMC #84... I think I thought it was a good deal.

I think these covers are incredibly varied compared to MM's.. The #8 is under appreciated.. it's classic in my book...MM#9 is ground breaking but Torch #8... the art is more resolved..

I'm not a huge Angel fan, but the cover is really well done.

i hate it when the condition gods bless you with a great book by grade, but on a cover that could stand some improvement. only thing i like about the cover is the cool arrival date.
