:frown: Man, that #54 brings back mixed memories. My 2nd ever CGC submission, 3 ASMs, #54, 56, and 70; I had all of them graded at 9.2. So I shelled out my 125 bucks or so, waited 2 months for the ol' economy tier, and then....got back two 9.2s (#56 and #70) and the 9.0 #54. Sounds not too bad, right? Well, 2 of the 3 were purple labels. :tonofbricks: The #54 and #56 both had a small amount of color touch on cover, one by a pro, one by an amateur. :sumo:

 

And I can confirm that Hooks, indeed, bought the #54 from me in all of its purple label glory. Now as to if the buy was a charitable gesture, I'll just say this: someone extend some charity to Hooksie and buy one of these books. :smirk:

And , yes , that was the one with "small P color touch to spine" Professional usually can be removed , as opposed to "amateur" which is permanent and bleeds thru. ie. , the illustrious "magic marker". :whistle:
