shortstack comics
I'm officially banned from ever buying comics from the web site mycomicshop, The owner told me over the phone that mycomicshop is the biggest in the world.. I told him that the people who packed the books needed to be fired.. That's the LCS here in Ft Worth and they really tick me off sometimes. Many times if you go to their online store the day a book is released, they will have "nm" copies for cover price on a 2.99 title, but have 'NM+" copies for $10 on THE DAY IT IS RELEASED... GACollectibles
It is an exclusive Variant... no different than Graham Crackers or NewComicsDimension. or Dynamic Forces Ahhhh, but should it be considered a "first print?" Huh? Huh? No, the two Locke & Key #1 DF variants came out 4-5 months after the first print Locke & Key #1. These were made with high print runs to capitalize on it's popularity and helped sink #1 first print's actual worth. I consider them third and fourth prints, that came after the actual second print . Larry's was a fifth (or was it fourth?) print. I'm pretty sure it is a 3rd, something that wasn't noticed when they came in and I submitted them later that week in Chicago. Boozad
what are you going to call the WD/Chew flipbook? The WD/Chew flipbook. It is actually TWD #63 with a reprint of Chew in the back. Even the registry includes it as WD #63.

medusanyc
if there are less copies of the later printings why are they not worth more than the first printing. for the record i only have the first printing of #1 myself graded 9.8 Edited January 23, 2010 by medusanyc
400yrs
if there are less copies of the later printings why are they not worth more than the first printing. for the record i only have the first printing of #1 myself graded 9.8 I'm certain someone else will have a better answer, but I'd think that since the first print is the original, it's more desired. Therefore, those issues tend to stay in collecitons of people who really want the book. Later printings seem to change hands more often even if there are less of them out there.
