Here is a new one for the list

ubermenschen001

This guy is a real class act. After he posted an "i'll take it" in my post i sent a quick message giving him my paypal and the shipping cost. He did not respond even though he had read my message. During this time he made many posts and then continued to post his own lots. I contacted again after three days just to see what was going on because i was listing everything on ebay in 2 days. I held these books off ebay for the seller for an additional day waiting for a response and never got one.

He had clearly read both my messages the day i had sent them. But he continued to not respond and list his own items. After posting a comment in one of his threads saying something along the lines of "im glad you can post your own books but not even responded to my messages, he never commented in that thread again.

Finally 3 weeks later i get a message back from him asking where his books are, but never once responded to any of my messages saying payment was sent.

He also never tried emailing me.

Not only did I have this bad experience with the seller but I have heard recently from somone that has bought one of his lots and paid immediately that they never recieved the books from him.

I have conducted business with some established members on this board (jonjesper, Araich, and sid) In both of the buying cases i sent money immediately and in my selling case my item was shipped promptly. I am a firm believer in good business ethics but this guy is a total joke.

So yeah ubermenschen001 is somone i would never deal with again.

Amazing. This guy has the audacity to post this "complaint" about me, when I sent payment 16 days ago now, and still have not received the books. Yes, I admit, I have a very busy work schedule, and have had my brother log on for me on occasion to post or check my messages for me, yet it is a decent practice to badmouth me on the boards and make me out to be a ripoff artist because I sent a payment on day 6 after posting an "I'll take it"??? Today is day 16 since payment was sent for this purchase, and no sniff of the books.

Point 2- False posts regarding another member to dramatize a mute point ("I have heard recently from somone that has bought one of his lots and paid immediately that they never recieved the books from him.") should be a bannable offense. I have had several transactions with reputable members of these boards and no negative response to me about any of them. I will not continue this ridiculous banter with SZ as I have already said my piece, so to be perfectly honest and in closing, It is fine to be upset about non-payment for 6 days, but for someone who has still not even shipped the books after 16 days to come on here- ONLY AFTER I FILE A COMPLAINT WITH PAYPAL- and badmouth me on these boards is childish and stale, take it as you may, I have no ill-intent on the boards and I have sold items myself without payment for over a week but never have been so petty as to post lies about someone just because they pissed me off.

Ok here are the screen shots to show he never let me know tht payment was sent. I closed 47 ebay auctions that week which i can post links to. The number of payment notifications sent where very high.

But here is proof of his poor communication

By the way i have the messages from the buyer who had a problem with you. With his permission i can post them.

Without further ado here is him not responding for 3 weeks.

You will get nothing...and like it :sumo:

Whether I like it or not?

Hey...if any one of you guys who did get ripped off by this guy....he's got a web-site and his phone number is (970) 577 1118. If anyone does call, please let me know what happened. It's in Colorado somewhere. If there are any forum members in the area....maybe they could call him? :)

I talked to a family friend and he hasn't had contact with him either. But he did give me some contact information. I'd prefer not to post it in a thread (might be a moot point since there is a number already posted here). He was living in Boulder. But I know his family opened a business in Colorado Springs (pretty far away) and has an existing one in Estes Park. The 970 is likely the Estes Park number.

"The defense would like to present exhibit A, Your Honor"

Good Luck with that. Paypal sends you an email, in addition to the transaction log, that any "Super-Responsible" Seller should keep track of, so you have, for 2 weeks, missed all of these indications of payment? Get over it. I paid you within a week, and YOU still haven't shipped the books after, technically now- 17 days, yet YOU are making the stink on here to prove what??? Goodnight!

I am a very responsible seller and all of my ebay auctions have been sent out. Why should i check my transaction log if ebay has marked the shipment for me.

You can check my ebay if you wish

22 positives in the last month. All promptly shipped

Your poor communication skills are clearly at fault. Why would i single you out and not send somethhing to you.

I had no clue. He never messaged me or emailed me.

There will be a record of it in your Paypal account. My suggestion would be to log in to Paypal and examine all payments received on the 30th. If you received payment, then you should send the books. No harm done.

I am sorry about this argument on a public post. I have felt the need to defend myself, and also let it be known that if you are going to deal with this guy dont expect a pleasent experience.

SZ - I don't get it. He paid for the books in July right? hm You haven't shipped them yet. hm hm Your mad at him because he didn't tell you the money was already in your PayPal account? :insane: I don't care how many books you sell, you should know when someone pays you that the obligation shifts to you as seller to complete the transaction. :makepoint:

His sale was rather small compared to the amount of money in my paypal account at the time. I was not mad that he had paid i was mad at the fact that after making no effort to communicate with me at all he demands a refund. I seriously had no idea that he had paid me and i decided the issue was dead. Then i get a message three weeks later questioning me. All it would have taken was a message form him saying payment is sent or a quick payment is on the way before he had sent payment.

I held the books for him when i listed everything else on ebay, told him this and he still did not have the common curtesy to send me a reply.

I might not get all the facts in this case, but I think your both slightly at

fault. Sorry guys. :sorry:

First as the seller SZ shouldn't you be a bit more organized and recognize

his payment was sent and the e-mail that paypal sends. (shrug)

And also UB I know it isn't necessary to send a PM when you send a

paypal payment but I always do just to make sure the seller recognizes

it and I never know how many other sales the seller might have going on

through e-bay and on the boards. I figure good polite communication

either on e-bay or on the boards always helps a bad situation or can

prevent one.

After a few days when SZ thought he still hadn't been paid wouldn't a polite

PM resolved this easily and it shouldn't have lead to this. (shrug)

Just my humble opinion and I hope it all works out for your guys and you

can be friends in the end. :wishluck: Remember we're here to have fun. (thumbs u

This is ridiculous. After a week, payment was sent. The money is in the Paypal account.

Claiming to not know who sends you money verges on negligence or incompetence.

At the very least, logging into Paypal will show you a Shipping button for that transaction which indicates that action needs to be taken BY THE SELLER.

Despite the emails or lack of them, money changed hands and the seller was obligated to ship the product in a timely fashion.
