I did not offer a threat and I am not new to the boards (officially since 2012). Its not my fault if you cannot grade. If you were so sure of your grade why did you refund so quickly?

I didn't expect a refund until I sent the book back. Why would you do that?

Because I am honest, and a family man, and I just don't want to deal with people like you.

You have your refund, now what else do you want.

Please move on and conduct yourself appropriately on the boards.

No I am happy with the refund but am unhappy with being accused of having buyers remorse. Why am I being attached when I am the victim of over grading?

I am the only one that sees the color breaks on the back of the book?

Interesting that Bio Rupp is piling on too when he is the beneficiary of $2400 on Batman #5 from me back in May.

I hate to do this after so many positive buying transactions with other board members. I have to bring up my transaction with cheta42.

We agreed on $41.16 for Amazing Spider-man 298 in nm from this thread in Copper. A good deal if the book is in the grade mentioned.

ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8915576&fpart=1

I sent money through Paypal and received the book in today's mail. The book was packaged in bag and board and sandwiched in cardboard (pampers cardboard). It was shipped international in a padded mailer. I looked at the book closely and saw the back cover was full of creases (12 that I counted that break color) on that black back cover ASM 298 has. I contacted Alex thinking maybe he did not check the back cover before selling the book. Maybe its an honest mistake.

I ask for shipping to be covered back to him since clearly his item was not as listed. Instead I get accused of buyers remorse. What? over $40? Come on...

Do you really think I have the time to deal with this?

When I said I would escalate to the boards and through Paypal I got an instant refund. If nothing else I want inform the boards the grading was bad and that I was falsely accused.

Your book was refunded before you uttered any threats.

This is not a good start for you in my eyes on the boards.

Here are the stipulations in my sales thread

Returns accepted if item is not as described.

I will pay shipping if it is my fault.

Buyer pays shipping if they have sour grapes about the purchase.

Please read the last line.

There were pictures posted on the sales thread and I accepted your lower offer as a nice gesture to a new boardie.

You are off to a great start.

Good luck in the future.

Alex

Considering the book was listed as NM in your sales thread and obviously isn't, why would the last line of your returns policy be relevant here?

You sold an overgraded book and the buyer was unhappy - issue a refund, eat the return shipping and move on.

I do agree that, based on your scan of the book, it was over graded. Your scan shows the color breaks much better than the original photo did in the sales thread and return shipping should be given based on the sales thread conditions.

But it sounds like you are saying since Rupp got $2400 from you he should automatically side with you? That is simply not right.

Not my intent... with Bio Rupp

It very well illustrates the fact I have completed high dollar sales on the boards without any incident. No one knew. Even the seller neglected to remember.

No reason why anyone should know in this situation. No reason why Rupp should let this influence him. (shrug)

My walk away from this is good. I am totally in the right with one of the members here over-grading. I've made purchases here of $2400 (Bio Rupp) $550 (storypapers) $300 (shrunkenhead) and $110 (Phil the Governor) all without incident.

I offer proof with better pictures than the listing member and still get no support.

I agreed you should get return shipping based on your scan vs the original photo. What more support are you looking for?

I'm sorry Alex but the book looks over graded. Pictures don't show every defect. Telling him it's buyer's remorse, quoting the last line of your return policy and your above post clearly show that you blame him for problems in the transaction.

If that's not support I don't know what is. Classic case of overgrading. Man up. Issue the refund. Case closed. GL mytastebud

While it’s fair for you to ask for a return and refund on postage, I believe you have made a bigger question of this than it deserves.

Cheta refunded you and the fact he asked if you had "buyer's remorse" might be arrogant or just a question asked, but not a reason to post there, unless one wants to nominate for the Probation List, which is not the case here.

My apologies if you thought I was "piling on". Not my intent for you to feel that way :foryou:

Just that once the refund is issued... and its issued within the guidelines set forth in the seller's thread... then the issue should be settled. (shrug)

I have had great dealings with the two of you and hope you both get to an outcome that is agreeable.

xxx ooo
