I haven't reached out to anyone yet

The 2nd part seemed more important

I wanted to read about bob and watch the video he posted

That is soooo sweet of you. You are a class act and obviously misunderstood.

That's terrific that you read about Bob and watched the video, but... *tick tock*...

Time to click that "DONATE NOW" bar and actually do something other than kick some more tires.

I donated Around an hour ago

When i finished reading his story

It is a very worthy cause. For some reason though, when you post about it, it seems disingenuous (that means insincere).

He gave you an easy way out and hopefully you become a stand up boardie now.

I think the resolution that Rich as proposed is an excellent one.

However, this is the thing that's always puzzled me about not just this situation but others like it:

rich doesn't even want to try to come up with any solution

This attitude of 'poor me, the mean ol' nominator won't come up with a solution and let me off the list.'

If I somehow landed on the PL and wanted off, I think my reaction would be 'I screwed up, I own it and I want to make it right. Here's option A, B, C, and D. Nominator, you choose the one that works for YOU. Or a variation of the above. Or something else entirely. I'll do what it takes to make it right.'

To me, that shows recognition of the mistake and the sincerity of wanting to make things right. (the above isn't the same as unilaterally deciding what restitution will be - such as making a purchase)

If I've landed on the PL, it means I've likely waisted someone's valuable time and caused them aggregation. Why would I just sit back and expect them to waist more of their time and energy trying to devise a method for ME to get off the PL?

In my line of work I find myself defending the current 18-35 demographic quite often. It's mostly easy especially when it comes to innovation and creativity. When it comes to accountability, however, I'm consistently at a loss for words.

good point ^

I definitely think he posted a great cause. I don't know bob personally, but he sounds like a stand up guy. It takes a lot to stop treatment and go on with your life. I can't even begin to image what he's going through

And don't worry, one of my best friends is very close to the Caffrey family, so it will be easy for me to have him pull the confirmation and post it.

You know, in case you get busy or something.

Quote fail. doh!

And he needs a SELLER. :makepoint:

Not sure what he needs to be honest with you. He asked me to post my experience with him and I did

Rich wanted someone who i've bought a book from on the board to say the transaction went well

I've only bought a few books all went well. I have the PMs, but as for any of them coming on here and vouching, Just have to wait and see

Oceanavekid picked up a slab from me in January of 2014. I won't go so far as endorsing or vouching for him, but there were no issues with that transaction, whatsoever. I've also done business with Rich and though his reputation isn't being questioned here, I'd like to say that he was absolutely awesome to deal with as well.
