thanks for the recap...didn't realize the Mound copy book went for less even after the press and upgrade.

 (envy)

I didn`t buy it. I just celebrate any time someone who presses and resubs a book loses money!

just looking at the heritage archives, i spotted 2 af15s that bumped from 5.5 to 7.0 and a 4.5 to a 5.5 and thats just with a quick scan.

In this case, the short term flipper didn't win. The flipper held the book for only three months with prices of SC22 still being extremely volatile during that period of time.

5.5 to 7.0 seems shady.

Not at all. It just depends on what the defect is. For example, my last GL #7 I bought knowing it had a nasty non-color breaking bend/crease at the spine as a 7.0 - otherwise it was a gorgeous copy. After pressing I expected it come back as a 7.5/8.0, but Joe was able to get it all out so it came back as a 9.0.

I didn't see this on David Letterman, but I still think it's a borrowed title,

10 WORST WAYS TO IDENTIFY A SHOWCASE #22 (tsk)

1) that cream to off-white one

2) the one with the white showing on the spine

3) that one that got pressed and resubbed

4) the one Rich owns

5) that one that gained in value the last two years

6) the copy recently on ComicLink

7) you know, the one that was quick-flipped

8) that 'private collector' one

9) that one they've been talking about on the Showcase 22 hub

and the #10 worst way to identify a Showcase #22 (shrug)

10) you remember, that copy that Gator sold

Glad you found some humour in it, was trying. Had to do something while waiting just 12 more days for the GL movie. Feel free to add your own ideas to the list, we don't have to stop at 10.

On another note. As some have already noticed, Warner Brothers has been doing a lot of promotion and advertisement for the GL movie. Let's hope this pans out. :headbang:

:applause: I like those 3! Good thinking! Investment wise, I'm sure all aboard will do well. Great fun ahead and rumour has it they are thinking of 2 more GL films already.......Green Lantern's light
