Picked up a nice 3,500 piece Bronze and Silver collection a few weekends ago, and the era of book in the highest grade were almost all uniformally the 1972 Pictureframe era.:banana:

You can imagine my surprise at this, as most collections I ever bought had really nice post 1975 material, and only sparse UHG Pictureframe representation.

So far, I counted about 60 super sharp Pictureframes, including a long-time nemesis of mine: Captain Marvel # 23, that dreaded black cover. This copy is a dead NM. Lots of Nice Team Ups, Marvel Premieres, Marvel Spotlights, FFs, and a few others. Oh, to be in heaven. :cloud9:

Will try to post a few scans if time allows....

That sounds great, George. Looking forward to seeing the scans. Since I consider you the Godfather of Picture Frame books, I think this collection found its way into the right hands.

My friend, you have made a lot more progress then I ever did with assembling a high grade run. I think the torch was passed a long time ago. :foryou:

I just found this thread and thought I'd share my PF collection. As with all my comics, I focus on presentation so what I have is square cut and mostly perfectly wrapped with good page quality, clean back covers and no tanning halos. Grades probably average NM-. I took these photos last year so a few (but not a lot) have been added since.

I like seeing the books laid out in group shots like this. There is a certain satisfaction in seeing years of work in front of you. I'll try and find scans of more recent purchases.

If anyone sees anything I'm missing that meets my criteria I'm interested.
