Those are both very tough books to find in decent shape. Joey must have been very convincing.

A properly wrapped Conan 16 had eluded me for a while, but I finally found one.

 

The Cap 155 (second from left, top row) is one of the 1972 comics I don't consider to be true PFs.

 

 

You mean second from the right, correct? That is the Cap book I wouldn't consider a true picture frame, not the book second from the left.

It seems like a number copies of the tougher PF books have appeared in the census in the last year or so. (I think that's mostly thanks to the Suscha News collection and Dale's awesome Bronze Age Western find.)

 

But it's kind of surprising to me that so many of these books are still so scarce in the census. There are 22 Picture Frames books no 9.4 or better copies in the census. And there are 34 books with only a single 9.4 (or better). For your personal enjoyment or boredom, the books are listed below.

I went today to BMV Store on Bloor

and found a lot of frame books,

 

2 of them really catch my eyes

 

For 2 reasons:

1) I know some of you are looking for frame books or

2) Number one marvel book.

 

The Bronze book it’s at least 9.4

The wolf 8.5 – 9.2, sorry guys I am not a grader

also a lot of bronze (Frame books) mostly 9.2 or below

and yes more number one (Horror titles)

everything marked at 5.99,

it’s a good price or not I don’t know...

I started this thread three years ago as an honour to Nik, and I'm glad you guys have kept it going strong ever since. Let's keep it going.

 

It's been three years today since we lost him, and I'd love all the regular posters in this thread to post a single black picture frame book, as they were always his favorites.
