The sad thing is, I don't know if this is a joke or not.

 

The Marvel Ultimate line is so slimy ("Hulk horny"), nothing is below them.

 

Sadly, it is not a joke.

 

Can't recall if it happened in Ultimate line or regular. I think it'd have to be from regular, as Hank gave Janet a proper beatdown in the Ultimate books.

 

It was Ultimates. And there was a really creepy line about the Wasp being able to make "jelly".

 

And people wonder why I loathe Mark Millar.

Truth, Justice and the American Way are all diametrically opposed to Mom Rape, which is why this doesn't fly with most superhero teams. If someone had tried it with the X-Men, you would need a mop to pick up his adamantium-stabbed, laser-burned remains. Lucky for Marcus Danvers, he tried it with the Avengers.

 

Despite their moniker of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" they do not enjoy the same popularity or respect as other teams. It's not surprising when you remember the team includes Thor, a god worshiped by marauding rapist barbarians; Giant Man, a wife beater; Iron Man, an alcoholic; and a certain green monster only famous for losing his mess and punching down buildings on a daily basis. And those are the famous guys. Makes you think Captain America only joined them to keep an eye on them.

 

The story is messed up beyond belief, thank all that is holy tha Cracked.com was there to clear it up!

 

Plus.....I never thought of the Avengers in that light, but hey......

How Quesada was stupid enough to let this story run is beyond belief. :slapfight:

It was the only Spidey story arc I have actually read since the end of the McSpidey run (Larsen's kindergarten-like artwork turned me off from the title).
