I actually think the grading seems pretty loose on all the books except the Daring Mystery. It may be time to submit some stuff if this is an indication of the grading standards today.
I tried to look at this stuff. It just gave me a headache. But the grading so far seems, well... You know that girl in school who just never seemed to say no? Kinda like that.

Some nice books though.

Detective Comics 7 9/37 D.C. Comics Universal 5.5 CREAM TO OFF-WHITE

I'm excited to see how nicely these books graded out. But am I the only one who is surprised by the 5.5 grade on the Tec #7? Did CGC overlook the large piece that is missing from the middle of the cover?

Helllllo? now that RHG has decided to come out of his ivory tower and 2c. I agree, all the grades look high to me, especially this one!! My rough grades are way off, guess I need a class in CGC grading specifications.

does it take a while for your bids to show up?

I bid on a couple of books, confirmed, refreshed, and it still shows previous bid amount and previous (assuming their proxy was less than mine) high bidder (shrug)

What did the Tec 14 grade out at? (shrug)

The Detectives 12 and 14 were not sent to CGC. If you look at the auction website you can see a link to the "Auction Comic List" this file will show the grades I gave the comics that were not sent to CGC.

Auction Comic List DOC

***I don't guarantee these grade as the comics are out of my possession***

The Auctioneer understands that these comics should be handled as little as possible so if you plan on bidding on a high $ comic that is not CGC'ed it's best to be at the auction.

He did not tell me that he had the FF #211 so I did not get to view that comic. (worship)

For my money, if you are seriously interested in the pre-Superman era, go after the Wow #2. Extremely rare, first Eisner cover with great early artists. It is an amazing little run......jon

Shhhh!!! :pullhair:

hm I may go for this one now that Jon mentioned it :baiting:. Thanks for the info
