Wow, there's WAY too much popcorn prepopped for this thread.

Quick, somebody call three or four troublemakers and get them over here pronto!!

Not cool.

Seller got caught.

Didn't want to sell the books for the auction price realized.

Turned out to be a boardie. Got outed unintentionally...Ooops! Egg on face.

What will seller do now to save face on the boards?

I wait with great aniticipation and

I'm guessing he ignores this thread as long as possible.

Not everyone is on the Board 20 hours a day.

They're not? Pffft. What kind of dedication is THAT?

On the subject of "not getting what you want for an auction"...I know a guy who sold a slab for not the price he wanted for it, a book that was selling for $500-$600 at the time, and he got $350 or something for it...so he told the buyer that his dog was chasing his cat around the house, and the cat knocked the case off the table and the corner cracked, and oh gosh, I'm so sorry, here, I'll refund your payment instantly, so very sorry, here's some positive feedback for you.

Of course, the buyer was no dummy, and demanded photographic proof. lol

So the seller took a hammer, and WACKED the corner of the case, smashing it to bits. Of course, he was careful not to damage the book inside.

$11 reslab fee vs. "several hundred dollar loss.'

Fast forward a year or so, and the formerly "$500-$600" book had been reslabbed and sold by the seller...

....for $175.

lol lol lol

If that's not poetic justice, I dunno what is.
