Anybody bidding in the January Comiclink auctions?

For most of the books I collect, it seemed like prices were a bit soft for this batch of auctions. Last night picked up a Thor #180 CGC 9.4 ow/wt for only $83. And a Tower of Shadows #3 CGC 9.4 wt. pgs. for $57.

 

Just got a Brave and the Bold #86 ow/wt pgs. back from CGC in 9.4. Paid $30 for the book a while back and $40-ish for the grading. There was pedigree copy in 9.4 with wt. pgs. that sold for $1849 on ComicLink's aucitons last week. I'll try to list my copy on their next focused auction in March.

 

congrats on the B&B #86 but i wouldn't get my heart set on a repeat of that price. the sale was noted here as one of the more loco in recent memory

I have done something wrong ? anyone know what? if you click on them you can see them, but how do you get them to show up automatically?

 

I think you just used the wrong link in photobucket. There a couple options to choose from.

 

You don't actually have to use photobucket. You can just add the image from comic link. Right click on the image, click on properties cut the address and then paste it in the "enter an image".

When that pedigree copy was at $800 early on, I thought no one was going up that price. In my opinion, $1850 is 'crazy' money for a B&B #86.

Mine, w'o the pedigree & wt. pgs would definitely not be one that would anywhere near the last price, but I really can't afford to keep my #86, either.

I'll sell it and put the money into the 'grail' original art pieces I'm looking to get. I've finished paying Kaluta $5k for a Shadow piece. Now the long wait for the finished art.

At least with the focused auctions the books are on the premises at CL, rather than the regular listings where the owner has to ship the book to CL before they can ship it to you.

I picked up four 9.8 Jonah Hex books. (thumbs u Paid what I thought I would for them-though I had bid to go higher.

I'm in Toronto, and I got my books 60 hours after I paid by credit card.

 

The final auction I won ended last Tuesday evening. I paid for all my auctions immediately after that. I got the shipping notice on Wednesday morning, and the books arrived in Toronto 48 hours later - on Friday morning.

Depends on the size, too. I've gotten books as fast as within a week, but if you buy an FF#1 rest assured they're going to wait for that bad boy to clear and the some.
