That might be it. Definitely a little uptick in the market over the past few weeks.

 

I'll say, I thought I was the only person that bought Captain America bronze books 9.2/9.4. (Mostly because they are usually very cheap.) But not last night...

 

Some of the 9.8 Valparaiso Caps sold on the cheap.

someone other than you bid on that book? i passed, didn't like the wrap and figured since it was a worldwide book, it had been squished.

True. But the ones that I saw that went cheap appeared to have miswraps of varying degrees.

I noticed that 9.6 copies of late 1970's BATMAN issues in January are getting the same or higher prices that 9.8 copies were getting for the same books in the December auctions :o

Selling your comics in December usually doesn't seem like the smart move.

 

People are traveling and spending money on x-mas gifts that usually don't involve comics. Next month should be the best as people have digested all their X-mas non-sense and recovered from paying off their bills, hence why C-links main event auction is feb.

 

Even my garbage eBay crappy auctions are higher now.

Ditto. I won a couple of Caps at somewhat bargain prices, but the majority went well above what I wanted to pay. Market does seem to be firming up a little.

After saying I was waiting for February, I managed to win three Bronze Batmans (268 and 276 in 9.6, and 281 in 9.4) as well as four 9.6 Miller Daredevils (180, 185, 187, and 179).

wasn't one that sold that was listed in GPA; don't know if it was one of the one's that traded on clink in the past. was probably a 9.0 two weeks ago :D.
