Here's my blog posts from back when I built my MAME cabinet:

I built it over two years ago, and I just now got around to having the art for the control panel printed up  If you're thinking about building one of these, I say GO FOR IT! I can play all the games I played as a kid without having to beg my mom for quarters

I agree 100%. It's a fun project putting it all together and learning how it works.

When it's finally done (or just playable) you can play pretty much any arcade game you can think of. R-type? Mr. Do? Qix? Zaxxon? 1941? If you can remember it, you can play it.

I've owned a few pinballs in my lifetime, and have been thinking about picking up a video game.

Top video I'd want...

1) Star Castle

2) Sinistar

3) Reactor

4) Pac-Man

5) Donkey Kong

Top pinballs I'd want...

1) Kiss

2) Evel Knievel

3) One of those baseball ones where you pitch the pinball and hit it.

Sounds fun

If I were to buy a machine I would want one of the SNK boxes that uses swappable cartridges and holds like six games, but a box that holds as many games as I want sounds even better :)

Exactly. Any game you can think of. For example, there are 2,618 Nintendo 64 games you could program in.

beating up Jason from Friday the 13th looking dudes.

Speaking of that, anyone remember that old Friday the 13th NES game - what a zany concept, though the first time he comes tearing in the cabin (complete with creepy music) is very cool.

Gauntlet rules! Love that game when playing with other people.

In my opinion, no game touches Sinistar! I like the emulated versions, but nothing beats that game in its original form with the joystick. God, I love that game. Fun as hell and hard as hell!

Gonna go down to the garage and fire up the Sinistar now for the 1st time in probably a year, mainly to see if it still turns on! "Run, Coward!" :wishluck:

While not mostly video games, we have this place in Las Vegas that I consider a must visit destination. To my knowledge it's the largest classic games arcade anywhere.

Pinball Hall of Fame

The Pinball Hall of Fame is so awesome. It is a great get away from the casinos. You can spend hours and hours in there and hardly spend $10. Anytime that I go to Vegas I go back to the Pinball Hall of Fame.

Don't look for them, and never thought about it...but, if I had to pick some, here's my list of what I would look for:

Ms. Pac-Man (greatest game ever)

Donkey Kong

Dragons Lair

Double Dragon

Rampage

Golden Axe

Spy Hunter
