Most Memorable WW2 cover?

77 posts in this topic

Hi, folks:

Just starting to get back into collecting comics after being sidetracked in original art collecting and I'd like to pick up a really nice WW2 cover. I thought I'd ask Board members which covers are considered most memorable?

Captain America #1. Hitler getting a knuckle sammich from Cap in his very first appearance. Doesn't get any better than that.

If you are looking for something more affordable, I've always like Marvel Mystery #26. But I am a Subby guy, so there is considerable bias in my choice.

Especially since USA wasn't involved (with troops at least) in World War 2 at the time, I agree that Cap 1 is the most memorable.

off the top of my head,

Cap America #1

All Select #1 & 2

Superman #14,17

Action #48,63 (amoung others)

and almost every Marvel Mystery with a red cover.

I can think of a couple or really nice Yellow ones.
