Western comics.

Bought a small, fifty or so, golden age collection last weekend while traveling. Mostly oddball stuff, nothing really valuable. But there were enough cool books in the collection for me to go ahead and buy it

Here are seven of the nine western comics that were in the collection. The other two were Gene Autry photo covers in nice grade

Yeh that's a nice pickup. :applause:

Never seen the Wahoos - love the Cole - and that's one of the Elias Black Cat Westerns I've always liked. Indian Braves = #1, right? Love the layout - if you're going to draw a line cutting the page between title and art, then allowing a 3d extension into the area is the only way to go.

Thanks guys, it was a fun batch to find. Yes, the Indian Braves is #1

Most of the comics aren't in my collecting focus, so they will probably all end up for sale on the Boards or eBay in the coming weeks.

The collection has lots of esoteric stuff in it, like those Wahoos.Hadn't seen those before either.

This is now MY book :acclaim: ...thanks Bill. It was nice to see you again... (thumbs u

Nice pick up and a great looking cover.

The mountains in the background remind me of the Superstition Mts. near Phoenix.

We could see the Superstitions from where we made the comic deal...and a Roadrunner... lol No wagon train, but we were next to an Indian casino...
