Never heard of 5guys. Just looked it up and saw that there is one about 5 minutes away.

They opened one right around the corner from where I work, but they opened it the week after I had my heart attack. I've not had a burger since, and it's like torture for people to tell me how good their burgers are. All the guys at work eat them in front of me making their orgasmic noises.

 

I've never had one, and probably never will.

 

my brother in law had quadruple bypass a few years ago...but, if you do anything in moderation, the doctors allow him the occasional burger...maybe you can too

 

Oh, I'm allowed to have a sin meal from time to time, but I'd have to blow a whole month's worth of sin days just for one of their burgers.

Do you realize how hard it is to eat well without a sin day for a whole month?

 

 

Personally, I think their burgers are being grossly over-rated on this board. Are they good? Yes. Are they anywhere near the best I have ever had? Not even close. I have had much better burgers.

 

 

 

Ditto, I had their double cheeseburger and small fries on Tuesday. The burgers are good, but not $5.09 good. The single is $4.09, so it suggests the double is a must upgrade for a dollar.

 

The $2.69 small fries however are great, home style cut with skins still on them. They fill a medium sized fry holder and pour fries over that in a bag. A 1/4 bag of fries is a good deal as good as they are. I ate it all, and skipped the $2+ drink. My first visit was $10.82, be sure to bring a CC.
