My "D" Blue Bolt copy has the same water stain in the upper right corner...but you can't really see it on the black cover. :shy:

They are Bob's books actually. He has a run of #8,9,10 Crippens all similarly water damaged that he sent in for some conso.

Honky's book reminded me of those three. Very similar damage throughout. Makes me wonder where they were in relation to each other in the collection.

Bob, it ok to post your books before they get back from CGC?

Did the family ever go after the thieves? Seems like a sad byline to know that the original "D- copies" were first pillaged by workers while working on they man's house.

Yeah, a sad story indeed to see someone victimized like that - definitely something Fishy going on there.

Interesting how this thread went from providing info on "D" copy books to a post your "D" books thread :headbang:

i only wanted to show the diff in the original hoard labels and "crippen" labels. i can't stomach people who just want to show off their books. exhibitionists, all.

did i mention i have these? a few even have the "D!"

The #4 and the #18 seem to be especially affected by foxing.

Some of the others are virtually free of this though.

Unfortunately, not the #1 however :P
