OK...I read the first 10 pp. or so and the thread never ACTUALLY seemed to discuss the title book/transaction at hand...I know for a FACT the book sold for $13,400 on the 4th of July...

 

The book was re-listed as the buyer came to the conclusion that the book was "unimprovable"...

 

I'm fully aware of shady shenanigan-like reposts and the like on Doug's site...but as far as I know, this seems legit...

 

Again, the book did SELL to an outside consignor originally...FOR REALS!

It might have been later in the thread...GPA made a post in the thread stating the sale and resale are legit. Accusations on this case were false...and everything is alright in comic land.... :whee:

Given many of the nasty things that have been said about Matt on this board, I took it a completely different way.

The reference was an 'in-joke', harking back to Matt telling me my moral compass was too tightly wound.

I'd say he was only half joking. When Matt said to Nick "your moral compass is wound too tight" in order to derail that thread, it showed that Matt deserves some of the nasty things said about him.

I'd say he was only half joking. When Matt said to Nick "your moral compass is wound too tight" in order to derail that thread, it showed that Matt deserves some of the nasty things said about him.

 

Plus it's a crummy analogy, since compasses aren't wound. :grin:

I wonder that too. People say he's a real nice guy in person, but I've only seen the doochey side since he joined this Board. A lot of it was the NOD thing, though, and that did divide a lot of people.
